How cool would it be to be able to name your mount😊

I second that! We can name our companions, why not mounts!

Er, I name this horse, er,... Ned.
Er, I name this other horse, er... Ned2

I used to give my companions clever and/or amusingly punny names. But they don't show to other players so now they just get called "Woo Woo" or "Weeeeee" or "Uh-Oh" or "Zappy"

You got that wrong. Ned's (evil) twin brother is Zed.

And for the original question: Oh, well, sure why not. As long s it's "can" and not "must" choose a name like with the companions...

Just put..."My mounts name is: mount's name here" in your character bio.

I think this would be a great feature, if they ever release stables so our mount collections can be on display. I'm hoping for that with Player Strongholds (which I take as Guild Housing, but maybe it's individualized, we can only speculate).

But then again I do have a "mount" problem, like some people have companion problems. At least with mounts I can just take up bag / bank space and not have a finite amount of room like we do for companions.

That would be great and also if dye packs would work on them .

So then I can dye my purple unicorn pink. Everyone needs to see a pink unicorn running around.

Yisssus! Names and dye options. I mean, I wouldn't really want a purple armored boar, but i'd love to be able to change the color of my Bacon-Pancake's saddle

Since I like my fantasy more serious than silly. I am voting against pink mounts named Bacon-Pancake!

    Bacon-Pancake is already pink.

A sweet fluorescent green or purple, however, would be a much better colour...

...also all those gold-ish lobsters. Why no pink?

This is a good idea, until the first person that names their mount "yourMom", or names to that effect.

I've been thinking about this since the beginning, in my head & heart my good ol' yeth is named Franco, and my boar is Heinrich.

"Get in There" sounds like the most reasonable mount name for me. That I would use.

What they really need is a 'stable' like the companions have. So you can collect them
and choose which to ride as you go. Add a small stat boost from them and they'd
sell a lot better to us collectors and stat players.

    lazy tho...

Don't really have an emotional attachment to something that appears out of nowhere then just as quickly leaves you for dead when you're in mortal danger.

I would name my horse 'zen'.

I like names to tell a story, and that one tells the story of how I was most likely able to name him.

My main DC's Heavy Inferno Nightmare is named Rohini. Someone is being punished for being a very, very bad girl. All my alts ride jaguars named Amarth, so I can introduce 'em as my "mount, Doom."
