so im going spellstorm mage for damage which means less cc's and more electicity. so which feat path would be best for me and which encounters would be best. thanks
Thread moved to its correct forum. The original unedited post referred to Stormwarden instead of Spellstorm Mage and was thus moved to the HR forum. The OP was edited after the thread was moved.
In the future, please use the PM system or the report function to bring an erroneously placed post to the attention of the mods, rather than deriding the mods for something that was changed after the fact. Thank you.

On the live server, I currently run a Thaumaturge Spellstorm CW. I slot the following encounters, along with Storm Spell and Eye of the Storm:
Conduit of Ice
Steal Time
Icy Terrain
Sudden Storm
I vary between putting Conduit of Ice and Sudden Storm on spell mastery, depending if I have another CW in the party. If there is another CW, I use Sudden Storm on tab, because I'm not as worried about stacking chill, between two CWs they'll be maxed out within a few seconds. If I'm the only CW, I'll use Conduit of Ice tabbed, so that I can apply chill faster within a greater radius.

You do know that Sudden Storm on spell mastery, especially with EotS activated, will transfer EotS to the mobs?
This is evident with Syndrith, Dwarf King, Testing dolls et cetera, but mobs do get 100% critical chance. It's also evident when using Magelord set, mobs get "rapid magic" buff which is what Magelord set gives them.
Besides, there're no real benefits to using Sudden Storm on spell mastery since many things do not proc adequately.

Wait... the mobs get my EoTS? Like... wait what? I guess that's why I sometimes see EoTS pop up multiple times... I'll be changing that permanently to CoI then... hehe.
If you have problems with understanding: a Good CW always look for the future.
Now that Abyss it totally destroyed (60% damage nerf today) because of the constans QQ I went back to Thaum...
I completely understand my class, and have been following the changes made. Abyss is still quite powerful, it was dealing far too much damage before, and as this thread is not in the preview section, we should not give advice on builds relating to feats/content that hasn't yet been released. Everyone knows that the stuff on the preview server is bound to change at some point. I advice you don't respec anything on your CW until module 6 is actually released.

Abyss is a feat they added in for module 6. It doesn't even exist on live yet, so this is completely unrelated...
