I figured, i would start here before making a ticket. Since i started replaying 4 days ago I have issues with Graphics and Lag. I participated in Closed beta and have played a little off and on since then. The graphics issue just started 4days ago. Have no clue if it's the game, client or my graphic card. Here is a screenshot of this issue i been having. Seems to happen a lot when entering a zone/map and Sometimes after i have been in a map. [IMG][/img]3_zps9005b182.jpg

This is a known issue (see thread: http://nw-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?799411-Graphics-problems-Texture-issues) that people have been seeing since roughly the release date of Mod 5. In another thread (can't remember where) one of the devs made a post that they were aware of the texture shenanigans and were working on a fix.

If it's any consolation, it hits pretty much everyone regardless of their computer specs, including me. You can check your computer to see if it's okay or needs updated drivers, but it's probably fine.

    Let me guess, NVIDIA card?
I get that glitch all the time, though hitting escape and letting the game reload its textures does fix it for me.

If it is an nvidia card there are a few things you could try.

I use an older driver (unfortunately it's one that came special for my laptop that can't be downloaded) it's a little over a year old though if that helps.

I set my textures to low and most settings to off or as low as they can go. Especially shadows, shadows cause a big problem. It sucks to get worse graphics than I should be able to get, but it's better than your screenshot. Give it a try. It might not help, but it might especially if you can find an older driver to try.

The ground seems to be part of the textures. They lay an invisible plane on the ground then map a texture onto it. Interesting that you aren't using an Nvidia card though as those are usually the ones having problems.

Try turning off Shadows off, and on the next tab at the top drop the character detail to 100% or 50%. This has made a big difference for me. Its a game issue, not a hardware issue (at least in my case), and when the NW client tries to load tons of people (run through PE when its crowded or Tiamat or even the dragons in the new zone when its full) and effects, the client just chokes and it gets real slow at loading skins.

If I am just running dungeons, I park in a low traffic area turn all the graphics settings (spread across 3 tabs in options) all the way up, and it seems to work fine.

This IS a game engine issue. I run NW off an SSD. I have NW on a second machine, running off an ancient PATA drive. The issue is identical between the two systems; If it was a hardware issue, it should be way more pronounced off the ancient drive, compared to a lightning fast SSD.

I have had this issue with graphics at the absolute minimum. This issue may possibly be related to the rubberbanding. A force verify occasionally fixes this issue, but only for a short time. I suspect that part of the rendering engine is corrupting, but... Without access to the code itself, I can't be sure.

My laptop runs an AMD card. It used to have graphical lag but has been running better than ever since Module 5 (especially after the recent fix of a slow memory leak the devs noted)...except for the textures randomly dropping, similarly to what's seen in the screenshot in the original post. Occasionally a similar effect is caused by my laptop just not loading in the whole environment until I rotate the camera to look at it. The bug (as I elaborated on in the Bug Reports thread that I linked above) occurs at random times. There is nothing I can do that triggers it -- something just happens and the game drops all the textures that then have to reload in.

I'll try to get a screenshot the next time I log on.

Graphic issue? It's and Module5 feature  Jokes aside, was almost unnoticeable before that with both NVIDIA/ATI cards (although this issue exists since beta actually), but since M5 it's a big PITA. There is no 100% proof change you can make to solve this one unfortunately. Even at "minimum" it still persist, but a bit less. Devs need to roll back some of the M5 changes.

I can confirm that turning the character texture detail and world texture detail sliders down to 100% ( down from 200% ) almost entirely solved my texture problems. It's now at the level where it does not bother me at all.
When I enter the character selection screen now it loads my character fully texturized. Before, it loaded a naked model, and then it loaded the items ( armor, weapon ).
When I enter PE I se absolutely no texture loading. From the first second it displays I see everything clear.
The inventory and UI screens now always load, there are no more missing pieces.

The only time I see textures not loading fast enough is when a distant object comes into view and I can actually see it before it is fully rendered, or when I turn my camera around very fast. But even these are just fractions of a second, and they all fully load.

Every other setting for me is maxed out.

I did not touch the multi-core setting, it is still on, and for me at least it seams that it should be.

    My build is:

    i7 5820k
    16gb DDR4
    Nvidia GTX 980
    SSD Intel 520
    Win 7 64bit
