Not only that, what they give us to test is too little to test anything, if they wont give us evrything major in like next week, we wont have time to find all buggs, suggest any adjustments. WE HAVE ONLY FREAKING MONTH. Right now it looks like we will get a dish more raw than mod5...

I wonder what is this rush? Princes of the Apocalypse is coming out april 7, didnt some1 here messed the numbers? ^^'

The biggest grind and cost to play up to date, perhaps...

Any word on lowering refinement requirements, increasing Refine point drop rates or changing the system to something else such as XP allocation?

The game is perfectly capable of hiring their own testing team. A public test shard should not be the main test group. It's unlikely that it will be a flawless release though considering every other modules has been released with issues. Tiamat was also delayed on release so it seems even not rushing it doesn't help with the end result.

Unless they are planning to have several mini-updates, this is WAY too soon. Reclamation Rock isn't even on preview yet, much less Fiery Pit or Spinward Rise. So far the only interesting thing to test has been the Paladin, and my general impressions (from a mix of my experience and others' feedback) the pally is WAY TOO POWERFUL for the first 20 levels or so, and barely tapping enemies at top levels.

Well this gives me time to save up some cash and such, since I don't plan on playing the adventuring part of the game again until Druids are released (just don't like the play of the Paladin.). I'll keep refining and selling armor sets/enchants though, since I am looking forward to the enchant and level 25 crafting stuff.
I may not be considered by most the BEST PVP Warlock on the server but, I am the most HATED amongst them.

I am very much looking forward to mod 6, but I have to agree with the majority of people and I have to wonder if you are ready to roll this stuff out or if it'll be heavily bugged on launch because you're rushing. My advice: push the release date back a few weeks if you need time to polish it. I want a good experience out of the door.

I believe that's a Paladin. Clerics use a holy symbol - no more mace & shield clerics in the edition of D&D NW is based on.

Still, I agree it is a pretty cool picture. Anyone know if she's an in-game NPC?

Hmmm very mixed emotions over this, on one hand I've paused somewhat whilst waiting to see what changes I'll have to adjust to when mod 6 goes live, on the other they are supposed to be serving a 'steak dinner' but it looks like it is going to be so raw they won't have even wiped its hooves before putting it on the plate.

The kiddies need to stop with the 'its gonna diiiiieeeeee' rubbish, that stuck record is played in every MMO by them any time there is a major update, but sure if the devs get it wrong they are going to seriously eff-off a lot of players. This module is a big change with a lot of potential, they do need to get it right even if that means delaying for another month or two. It is a coincidence that they have picked the very day ESO is due to drop its subscription (Making it buy to play like guild wars rather than a free to play model)... the way to combat that is to produce a quality product, not just distract your player base!

Interesting that the release date coincides with another MMORPG changing from subscription to free to play on the same day....

I too am looking forward to the release, but imo its way too soon and is very likely to end being a fix it on the fly module.

Would have much more preferred a longer time to test and implement player feedback to make this a more polished release than past efforts.

I haven't been there for quite some time now but I believe there's a female plated mace & shield user in Dread Ring, in the camp in the 'middle' of DR. At least if my memory serves me right.

They probably intend her to a paladin. But sadly to an old school gamer such as myself any heavy armored mace wielding person will always be percived as a cleric. I should get over it, I just can't seem adjust my perspective.

So, at least in my mind she will always be a cleric.

Looking forward to M6, but I'm not eager to spend any more money yet. I don't really care about new campaigns at this point.

    Hi all!

I think as an employee for one of the world biggest industrial company and one, who has to deal with Devs on daily basis, i may bring some light in here.

This is by no means against Cryptic, just a help for the everyday Joe to clarify some myths and misinterpretations!

The above quote is a joke, at least i hope so or are you so naive, that it is a coincidence? LOL

The time line is rushed out yes. Companies do spy on each other, if one comes up with a good and economic company idea, the others jump on it right away.

Secondly, you guys know what the A-Team is? No, not the 80's show, it is a quality control team. Now these days most companies don't have a single dude and you can take my word on it, not 1 employee for the Quality Testing Department. Why should they have, the customer is the beta tester. If he or she doesn't like it, well what can he or she do, zero, so why waste money on it.

Letting the customer test it, brings two features: 1) No need to pay the testers, 2) customers will find the bugs more likely, since they use the product on daily basis, while testers only jump with special access keys to a different point in a software and that was it, the so called testing.

Thirdly, PR machines work in these times like a good old steam locomotive. A good PR guy will even tell you, that the sky is red, not blue. Rushing out content, having not fixed problems from launch day, now nearly 2 years and forgetting about game breaking issues, like major server issues, PVP, AH, Foundry exploits and exploiters, class balance problems or dying out or obsolete classes are simply overshadowed by a coming Mod and a new class.

This is how a human mind works and there are scientific methods to tell you you will love it, with all it's faults or hidden bugs, this is PR, which is kinda overpowered these days, compared to the essential Development Teams or Quality Testing.

It will launch. There will be some problems but, mostly, it will be playable.

I have to agree with alot of people posting here.. I've been running my HR on the preview server and there are still several issues that need to be fixed.
Merchant in distress HE still doesnt give success rewards when completed.
Seeds for Everyone Daily quest still fails even after it is completed correctly (does not give end chest and Fails)
HR Encounter powers are still sometimes grayed out even though they are not on cooldown or when targeting a mob.
Alter bless still does not show any rewards (not bugged, just not completed to work yet)
The ability to make Unified Elements in Alchemy not listed.
And most likely many other bugs that are needing fixed from other classes as well.
ToS, MC, and VT does not give any new level 70 items from bosses or chest, (although they are dropping random green and blue 70 items as well as the new profession items)
    But..
Both the live and preview server are on maintenance today, which is odd, usually they are offset, which is fine. just hope they are fixing all the current issues on Mod 6 as well as live too ofc.

I cant wait to test it soon and see the newer content and report more bugs LOL.

would love ppl see things this clear but most of them don´t wanna hear something about that and don´t realise how this behaviour allows companys to act like that!

Everyone is afraid of change before it happens!!! I am exited for the new content and new levels of power, even the new artifact slot, what im not exited about is artifacts and gear I spent so much time(and Real Money) to get to maximum lvl suddenly going further. on average ive spent about 50$/month for the past year while playing my cleric. a little more even when I had good work months when you add it all up over the course of the year I cant believe ive spent so much to play a free to play game.. Lower the prices of things in the Zen market and increase the drops for refinement or new players will never be able to catch up with those of us who have been playing for some time.. also making things more affordable will allow those who don't have a disposable income to maybe to make purchase that don't hurt their pockets in a society where many people live week to week.(also I do feel all your pain on new content with some old content still being glitchy (have any of you devs run a Malbogs castle lately.. laggy as always will it ever be fixed, just as an example.)

I hope that it is indeed "big" in that there will be plenty to do (as opposed to grinding Tiamat 80+ times).

Here are some "small" things I'd really like to see in Mod 6:

    1. Increase to the 96-passive companion limit.
    2. Goblin companion.
    3. Mounts tab.

    4. (bonus) Giantsoul companion (whom I will immediately name Narf after a certain giantsoul in my Foundry!)

I'm still not really sure what to expect in terms of all the coming changes. Even the potion system is changing. I am also expecting some kind of announcement in refining. I want a definitive answer on that.

The worst thing about refining is that I store all these stones, waiting for a Refining x2 weekend. That is a terrible thing. Either make it permanent or don't do it at all ever.

I DO love the artifact system in general however and I have no problem with having Dragon Hoard Enchants to increase odds of dropping refining stones. That keeps me doing all the old zones.

Anyway, in terms of Mod 6 overall, they say this is their biggest release. I think the programmers know the code so well that it's not too hard for them to make changes/additions. The best system testing can only come from us players. I think it's more a matter of the ideas themselves that are critical to keep us playing.

If they come out with dungeons that are similar to ELOL and ESOT I will be quite disappointed. Being one-shotted without warning is not my idea of a challenging dungeon. I almost prefer the old style dungeons that throw a bunch of adds at us, which is actually what our class synergy was originally designed to deal with.

Well, Mod 6 is only a few weeks away. Yeh, I actually thought it would be late April, but it is what it is.
