Mod 6 Intimidation Alert

Hi all,

With the huge increase in the maximum achievable power stat, which should be close to or over 20k now, I believe GWF's Intimidation has to be put back to drawing board. Else, we'll see AoE 1 hit KOs coming from BiS GWFs all over the place. Then CWs will start complaining and GWF getting over-nerfed. Again.

The problem with intimidation is that its base damage is based on 35% of power stat. That makes the final damage poor at low levels and insanely high at high levels.

Thus, like the 10th time, I'm suggesting to base intimidation damage on weapon damage. Since the weapon damage was increased for GWFs, I assume the fair ratio would be ~250% of weapon damage.

    you get less % damage increase from power and ppl will get a lot more hp

    who really cares tho, if TRs get to keep their opness, then GWFs should also have some no-brainer powers.
    also HR has their roots.

    GWF is already ruined beyond repair. I don't feel like playing a GWF but a ninja. Sprint revamp, intimidation, regeneration nerf, hidden daggers... Meh.

    At least I have a clear conscience for reporting this.

    1 - people dont ask for nerfs to gwf because he is strong, but by strange projections. 2 minutes on youtube and some experience in this forum and you see that.

    2 - "x times the status" is not something exclusive for gwf. remember "x times the weapon damage", then probably gwf will be condemned to use intimidation ... this time without critical damage and defense.

    3 - just for the record: the bonus of avatar of war, the "single pve set", receive a big nerf for pve (pvp looks abandoned, so, lets focus i what matter).

    so, intimidation (or bleed) is the smallest of the balance dangers today. if not change - a real change - maybe will need a buff. sounds bizarre? yes, it is.

    terror / plague fire are affecting power the stat probably, thats why it should be changed to weapon damage.
    still 300%-350% out of weapon damage, cuz like you said you get less damage bonus % from power.

    Look at the new Vorpal as well. Will reduce defense and Power.

    Well that is just one thing... ALL these changes together all mean that..

    PvP will be a whole different ball game, there will very likely be gross imbalances.
    We will have to wait and see, and provide clear feedback.
    Hopefully the devs will listen and adjust for balance.

    The pvp ideal is all classes are capable of balanced, competitive play.

    yeah I'm leaning this way myself. we need to see how all these changes play together. there looks to be some really cool builds being made on preview though at the moment. HRs are gonna have a lot of fun

    FYI - the Terror enchant is still using the OLD debuff on LIVE not the new on yet. So just because it says 0% probably means they havnt decided on a % yet and even if it DID show a % like Terror it probably isnt even coded into the game yet.

    I see gwf right where they are now.. some super monsters will be ok, who will max out everything, any average player will be destroyed by TRs/CWs in 2 seconds..

    bam.. freeze,bam, daze, bam dead.

    No difference for vast majority of GWF players.

    I so wish they could figure out a better queuing system at least.

    new enchants impact everyone, but CW at range and TR with stealth will continue to hold advantages (wont hurt that new TR effect, will daze you when they go into stealth.. LOLz Wutz? I said to myself when I read that)

    I now its short.. but what the heck.
