Black screen after initial load and losing control over the game

Heya,
I've been encountering two "errors" for the past two or three months..
The first one being the black screen after the "cryptic" loading with sound but no picture and the NW cursor.
Graphics card is up to date and the game is picking up the card.
Sometimes it (2/3 times) works with going safe mode and I can get past it so it's pesky but not the main problem.
On a side note, my laptop is running windows 7, is a bit old with a Nvidia Geforce G 103M, but with tweaking
the graphics setting it has worked with little lagg untill now (still no lag just this and another issue)
The second, bigger issue, I can describe as the window losing focus (with the normal mouse of windows popping up), so the character eather stands there or loops the last command given when the focus has been lost.
I've tried modifying the rights of the game(admin), tried full screen, borderless windowed, updating graphics drivers,
playing with graphical settings and I'm quite short of ideas.
It pretty much seems like the game just losing focus and impossible to regain it again (clicking on the game yields no response, selecting it with ALT + TAB does nothing). Only way is to shut down the game and restart it, which is quite the bother when it does this in PvP and or dungeons. The issue can occour 5 times in an hour or never in 5 hours. So it's quite inconsistent and I'm not able to poinpoint if anything triggers it.
One more thing that might be relevant with losing focus but I'm not 100%.. I get the feeling that it's more frequent in PvP arena and Dungeons than if you normally quest. Just a feeling.
PS: yes the game has meen repatched, checked, restarted, computer restarted, computer whiped and clean installed but both still persist.

However in my case, when it loses focus it retains the same frames and all.. Basically looks normal with the exception that I can not control the game eather with keyboard or mouse. (Doesn't respond)
