Anyone have any ideas how this "random" Lifesteal change is going to effect Tempest healing. A lot of our healing comes from our lifesteal, and even a few of the other feats in other trees are effected by our lifesteal. I guess my biggest concern is that having our healing based off of a totally random chance means that if the God of Luck is against us, our healing won't ever proc, totally negating the use for the Tempest tree and changing SW's into pure DPS with a wasted feat tree.
You will need to stack your lifesteal as high as possible, the last 3 dragon boons you will most likely want the lifesteal cus its a flat % increase as ive been told.
Until then, you will most likely need to use abilities that procs damages fast and often as to keep a higher chance per second of procing yoru lifesteal. so far testing on preview server shows that relying on FieryBolt or Killing Flames is a bit of a death sentence in most situations.
I remember one of the dev's saying they were looking at the tempt tree to make sure the capstone is still going to function to let tempts be a healer but it wasn't updated to preview yet. So crossing my fingers that that happens.

Thanks for the response. Very much appreciated. I do hope the dev's look into it. Too low of a % makes it hard to be a viable healer in mod 6 preview. I'm ok with the lifesteal change to percentage to lifesteal, it just needs to be raised for a DoT healer like us to be viable in party.
Well that's nice, temptation ONLY. Last I checked the other 2 paths have the same if not less survivability.
That's the point. Tempt needs to heal others as it's a healer, so some tweaks are in order, though I hope the tempt it's self does not benefit from them as the overall nerf is great.

The entire class has very poor means of defending itself not to mention lifesteal is a huge part of progression for it anyway.

This class is built around lifesteal. I truly hope that Neverwinter is not so poorly developed a game that the brand new class they come out with in one mod is totally gutted and useless by changes made in the next mod. That would expose an extreme and worrisome lack of planning on the part of the devs and demonstrate that there really is not structure or organized plan to how the game is being developed but rather a totally arbitrary and inconsistent series of changes. I hope Neverwinter is not that kind of major failure.

On preview, the capstone seems to be functioning correctly when lifesteal does proc, I'm not sure what else more you are looking for.
still alot of unknowns with mod 6 currently, as some of us testers are aware, the games Stat Curves are seemingly broken and there is much work still to do.
no clue what gear we will be wearing at 70, or what stats we should be expecting to be able to reach. Once the boons are fixed we should be in a better position to speak.
But the problem with all SW self healing is it is dependent on #'s of hits in order to make worth while heals.
PvE is no issue really since we appear to be doing more damage overall (I think due to changes to armor pen, but needs proper testing to see if more than 24% Armor Pen does higher damage vs a mob with a max of 24% DR)
