Using Zen purchased through Steam not working correctly

Whenever I but Zen from my steam account it always says "recent transactions has temporarily prevented you from selling Zen." When I purchase something the the Zen store it gives me a warning "because I added it recently the item will be account bound." How long is the time until I can use it? Its been a day.

    In general it'll stay like that until steam pays PWE. Right now PWE has a promise to pay from steam but no money.

    Unfortunately, the amount of time involved is a matter of internal security and not released to the public.

    Well it's been 6 days and they still haven't released the items or my Zen from lock out. Lesson learned. DON'T EVER USE ANYTHING BUT ARC TO PUT MONEY ON YOU ACCOUNT. Not Steam friendly at all. Auto-response from ARC. They don't care because they already have my money. Truly sad.

    They don't have your money that's the problem. Steam has your money, and the way steam pays it's games is in bulk payments. So you'll probably be waiting for a while yet till steam pays PWE. That's the problem, PWE hasn't in fact been payed yet.

    If this is the case, then PWE should not allow Steam to sell zen then. If it is choosing to allow Steam to sell Zen then it should guarantee the zen immediately regardless if they received payment or not. If you don't like how Steam operates then don't work with them. Don't punish the customer because of how a 3rd party sells your services.

    Sorry that this is happening you, but it's not to "punish the customer". It's sound business security practice. If your company was eating millions in fraudulent credit card purchases and chargebacks because the card used to buy from Steam was found to be stolen or the buyer initiated a chargeback before Steam paid PWE, they'd definitely want to make sure the ZEN wasn't already sent all over the place.

    Yes, not everyone that uses Steam does this. But enough had that PWE found it necessary to initiate such a policy.
