If I bought a founder's package for the PC version will this transfer over to the Xbox as well? Or, will there be a new version for the Xbox?

It's not even known if the Xbox version will even have any such packages. I'd imagine they will, but nothing's been announced yet. The only thing that is 100% for sure is that the Xbox version is entirely new, and absolutely nothing from the PC version will transfer to the Xbox version.

My guess - You'll have to create a new account or you'll use your XBL account, to login to NW on the XBONE. If the devs/PWE wants to endear their players, they'll run some sort of promo where PC players can unlock items they've bought on the PC version, over on the XBONE version of the game - this is a stretch, IMO.

Regarding that, it's already been confirmed that the XBL Gamertags will act in the same manner as @handles on NW. Also, all friends on your XBL friend list will automatically be integrated to your Neverwinter friend list, with their Gamertags as @handles.

My point being that it wouldn't be linked to your PC NW account...

Here's the thing: no one expects to automatically get a free copy of any other game on the XBox buying it on the PC: I had to pay separately for for my PC and XBox copies of Skyrim. I had to pay twice for Diablo 3. So I kind of expect to have to pay a second time if I want the special mounts and other items I got with my Founder's pack on the PC.

However, when you look at what some of these packs actually cost, I think that perhaps PW should grant those items on the console. It's one thing to buy a $40 game a second time; it's another thing entirely to have to buy a $200 Founder's pack again.

I don't think we should necessarily get the consumable items again - especially the AD and Zen awards, but I think it is more than fair for those of us who financially supported this game at launch time to get our mounts, our Greycloak items, and our titles on the XBox servers. When there were multiple PC servers, we got the same benefits on both... I don't see how having an XBox shard should make things any different.

For hero of the north, I'd support that. $200 is a lot of dough. For any lower package, I wouldn't. ( coming from someone who didn't buy a HotN pack). I don't think you're gonna get it though.

If I was the Neverwinter team I would try to keep the PC and Xbox versions separate from each other in order to not deter newer players from feeling that PC players have an advantage over them right out the gate and not to deter the players who are coming from the PC version for a "fresh start". I would offer new founder's packs for those who wish to buy them, but wouldn't carry any over from the PC version. People spent a lot of money on this packs I know, but they are not entitled to have them transferred over to the Xbox version because at the time of purchase it was not even released that such a thing as the Xbox version would exist. Its not up to me though, just my thoughts. If they bring over the Hero of the North as a transfer ONLY, people who bought the cheaper packs such as Feywild will feel that their purchase didn't matter. Its a matter of being fair I suppose. Bring them all over or bring none of them over is what I'm getting at (directed towards the people who believe HoTN should be transferred because of its monetary value.)

I wouldn't buy the founder's packs period on a console MMO that wasn't going to be cross plat-form.

All they would need to do is to allow players to link their PC account with their xbox account. I don't mean their PC NW in-game account, but the actual account that has your information in it, like purchases made and such. The in-game accounts would still remain separate (characters and such) but they could just give those players who have made purchases on PC, a voucher or a code or something, to be able to redeem their purchase(s) on console.

I can understand not being able to transfer characters, but purchases should transfer, at least the founders packs. This isn't the same as having to buy a game twice for 2 different systems.

Given that the game is free and the way they make money is on selling these packs, I wouldn't expect them to transfer.

Smite is also coming to xbox one and is doing a transfer for existing accounts. Same business model. They should be doing as much as possible to allow players to play how they wish in their game so we come back and play/spend more.

Smite has already announced the transfer. If there were going to do a transfer, they would have said it by now.

I believe player base pressure helps here, so if you want a transfer speak up.

While that is true, I'm getting an overall sense of.... apathy (I think that's the right word) for the Xbox version from the publishers. The Xbox version was promised to have "all the features" of the PC version when first announced, but now that it's closer to launch, we find it's lacking 2 modules, the Forge in its entirety, the Gateway in its entirety, and a number of other features the PC version has. They didn't even make official announcements on the latter two that I could find, they just kinda said "Microsoft won't let us incorporate these features..... let's just do away with them, the players will find out on their own later."

Don't get me wrong, despite not having any PC characters worth transferring (Max level I think is 7), I would love to see this ability added, it's just a good feature.
However, also consider that Smite (I'm in the Xbox Alpha too) is a much more money-grabbing game than Neverwinter. While you technically can earn new Gods by in-game unlocking, it's extremely time consuming and difficult to do. There is nothing equivalent to that scale of item-shop-essentially-required in Neverwinter, and I am glad of that fact.

I doubt there will be any linkage between the Xbox version and the pc version.
When Diablo 3 was released for the Xbox and Playstation, there was no way to link either of them to the pc version.

Ouch! No Forge? Thanks for letting me know about that little detail, so I don't waste my time on the console edition.
