I'm seeing a lot of stuff scattered among threads about stat effectiveness plummeting at level 61.
Is this intended as part of the stat curve redesign or is this a bug? Hopefully a Dev can address this. It is important to know if this is intended because many people are logging on to their lvl 60, doing some quick tests, and basing their feedback on that.
At level 61 my CW went...
Crit from 33.8% to 26% (-7.8)
Life steal from 9.4% to 2.8% (-6.6)
Recharge speed from 45.6% to 34.2% (-11.4)
AP gain from 31.4% to 19% (-12.4)
Regen and incoming healing 7.3% to 2.8% (-4.5)
Damage resistance from 30.6% to 14.4% (-16.2)
Armor pen from 22.8% to 45.1% (+22.3)

of course your % dropped, you gained a level, you will need more of a stat to gain 1% now
Everything dropped like a rock for me too. If it's intentional, it's incredibly severe between level 60-61. Should be toned down a bit until players can swap out of old 60 epic gear into leveling gear (around 63-64ish imo).
Want 20% DR? Youll need 8,000 defense.
Want 10% crit? Need 7,000 critical strike.
want 10% movement? Need 7,000 movement.
Good luck.
This cant be final..or if it is final then I'm guessing the new bis gear will provide stats in the thousands to compensate. Ultimately its a stupid move which will turn people off especially if my orange gear becomes irrelevant. Taking away our hard earned power up to mod 5, then giving us a way to get it back by investing an abysmal amount of time/money. Keeping in mind how this game has progressed so far I can see this happening.

Thats what it is right now at lvl 70 on the PTR.
I agree though my guess is its not final. You can see what some lvl 70 BLUE gear looks like and while it does give you significant amoutn of stats, its nowhere near whats needed to get you to decent levels at lvl 70.
hmm i dont know what to belive, but i am not sure i've seen in pvp i had 52% DR and in protector i had 39% DR this was at lvl 60. so as i grow in level i droped in percents.. i dont think it will stay like this, but ido belive the stats at lvl 70 are meant for lvl 60, but for some reason it goes from up to down . isntead of down to up . probably because we copy paste the characters from live.
hold on, you are saying that your current level has an effect on how your equipment stats give you bonuses ?
so if i had a level 55 ring that gave +300 power, and a level 60 ring that gave 300 power, when my character is level 55 that ring is more effective ?
i have been playing this game for over a year and i dont think i have heard about this before...
so this means that items drop off in effectiveness as you gain levels, so you are hit twice with a penalty when you gain levels and face new enemies if you have not changed you gear to a higher level. Isnt that overcomplicating things ?
edit: also this makes items with many stat ( 5 stats at +100) to be far less effective than items with fewer stats (2 stats at +250).
shouldnt the item with many stats be given a few more points to make it equally effective ? and it means you must wear them for a shorter range of levels than the focused stat item or the item effectivesness drops off too much.

You didnt know this? Oh man, if you want to blow your mind go make a new character and take 3 radiant rank 10s and put them in offensive slots on a lvl 10 character. Youll have like +80% damage from that +900 power. Its insane.
I have ~12k power at lvl 60 and I think I have less than 80% dmg bonus from power, just shows you the massive scaling that happens.
Also take that lvl 10 character into pvp and youll see that power drop off ALOT just from going from lvl 10 to lvl 19 since your "boosted" however your stats are technically less effective LOL
While looking at these percents as they drop off, where are you testing? I noticed my lvl 60 had an ECL of only 52 when i was in ebon downs. Is your character actually at lvl 61+ while you are gathering this data? Dismayed if you are.
No devs have responded to any of the threads or feedback on this issue, so I'm starting to think this is intended.
That curve means that I'd have to add around 27,000 in additional gear score to regain my level 60 percentages? That would give me a total of 45,000 GS. LOL
I wonder how useful augment pets will be. If I'm only adding 3-4 % from an augment, I might rather have a healer.
Well I dont think its WAI TBH.
I linked a picture of some lvl 70 blues and while they are obviously good, they are not THAT rewarding to warrant these steep curves.
Now what MAY happen is they are looking to make all stats mediocre and in essence drastically nerfing everything down since they are removing combat regen and so in PVP if we keep our same damage boosts, noone can survive.
Overall I dont see it happening that way, I would imagine once its all said and done stats will be less effective than at 60 but we will have gear options that will make up for it, and things like weapon damage, HP etc will be much higher so you WILL be stronger at 70 than at 60. I think this current build on PTR is an alpha type build. Obviously they have much more completed that is not released yet.
I doubt the roll it out AS they build it, so....... Just hang tight, well probably even see a new patch tomorrow.

Yes lvl 70 character provided this info.
Tome of experience, copied character a bajillion times to insta level to 70 without doing questing.

Just levelled up my GF on preview from 60 to 61 and it gained something like 4000 HP. (from 51000 to 55000)
Just saying it's not all bad. Even if the increase is linear that would be 40000 more hp at level 70 so we'd probably travel around 100k hp if we add new gear to it as well.

It is not linear as when i lvled to 62 i only gained 1500 hp roughly

I did the same data collection. The results in the opening premise are consistent with what I observed. When you cross from level 60 to level 61 there is a huge drop-off in the effectiveness of the stats you have. It really is ridiculous. I'd be shocked if it's working as intended.
that is, all the investment made in grind , money, RNG and game time can be replaced perhaps by green items ! cool. at the end of the day we lose good " feats " - for being " forced " to allocate points in the "middle way " - and refined artifacts equipment ! cool again ! tired of this insane...

If it's a bug, hope it gets fixed soon
Here are the stats required to get 1% in anything:
Defense 400
Deflect 600
Regen 700
LifeSteal 1000
Critical 700
ArmorPen 100
Recovery 600
Movement 700
Want 20% DR? Youll need 8,000 defense.

Soon we'll be saying,"Remember back at L60 qhen you could survive Cloak Tower?"

from lvl 60 to lvl 70 my GWF went from 23k hp to 28k
you do get 2 pts at lvl 70
