I'm curious: out which shade of blue did THIS request come out of? LOL
If you're referring to "don't repeat what SW was" and "don't repeat what CW was" then I get it. hahahah.
But, at this point the Paladin is (as I've always pictured them) generally an armored fighter type (heavy armor, shield and sword, generally) - so I should hope their movement will be a bit hauteur as compared to any kind of waddling. I hope it's a new animation and not just a copy/paste of GF or GWF.
I think he means the ridiculous waddle GF does when he holds up his shield. Looks awful.
I just hope Paladin has some sort of dodge. I detest my GF because he doesn't.
That GF shield-up creep is actually kind of realistic. I had opportunity to try out the sword and shield thing when I was stationed in Europe for the Army a while back: not everyone fights like Spartans, and I think most of us walked somewhat that way when we were in blocking stance while moving forward (it was more about fear of being jabbed than anything else). LOL
I am curious how the Shift-key mechanic will work also... if you will raise a shield or maybe switch between melee and ranged (for casting aspects) or whatnot. Fun questions to be sure. But no matter what it turns out to be, there will be rage about it.
While I hope it's not a copy/paste of the GF or GWF, I would accept, nay encourage something in between, a raised shield valorous charge type of animation.
