About PvP rankings?

I dont really understand the ranking system, is it like you earn elo from wins or you have to beat the higher people to take their place ?

    Well Cryptic considers their ranking system propieratary and won't give a straight answer on it. It seems to factor win/loss ratios, as well as whether you played with a PUG or pre-made, as well as your score, your team's score vs the other team and the GS of all involved. IMHO opinion, the PVP ranking system isn't worth diddly especially considering they reset it with every mod and with so many factors beyond your control.

    yep, I won't even pretend to understand how it's currently working, my 17k ish GS HR alt ends up vs 22-25k GS premades with all gold artis and boons etc and he's not been in a premade even once yet, lol.

    -win against lower opponents and you will lose pages.

    it also factors when a person has kicked someone from match. For instance does he kick because he is losing? Or does he wait until his team has a for sure win, and kick all his team mates so he can be the sole collector of all the ELO points.

    I kick disconnects. Sometimes, if someone isn't pulling their own weight, I kick for that as well. Besides that... I think I've kicked 2 people, total, in PVP matches.

    It's an awesome experience when you play a 45 min match, and are going to win, and then get kicked! And then can't even pvp for another 30 mins.

    so this obvious exploit is just tolerated by cryptic, no punishment, just telling u to write aticket and nothing happens?
    thats exactly one of the last arguments for me to say this hole game is really a mess (the word with s.. would be more exact)
    not only full of bugs but withuot any kind of codex about whats wrong or right, lollll
    think i have to get an abo for a real mmorpg, theres a least somthing called service, and people that take care
