So I am trying to build my SW up and am after the accursed diabolist gear. I have found one piece but seem to be finding only the infernal gear where the accursed should be. According to neverwinter, it should go like this:
[Accursed Diabolist's Pact Blade] Collection Score 2 The Dread Vault [Epic]
[Accursed Diabolist's Grimoire] Collection Score 2 Lair of the Pirate King [Epic]
[Accursed Diabolist's Helmet] Collection Score 2 Spellplague Caverns [Epic]
[Accursed Diabolist's Boots] Collection Score 2 Icespire's Heart [Epic]
[Accursed Diabolist's Armor] Collection Score 2 Temple of the Spider [Epic]
[Accursed Diabolist's Bracers] Collection Score 2 Caverns of Karrundax [Epic]

Anyone know if this is correct? The great majority of the time its bugged and I dont get a gear choice at all.

Thanks!

It's not a 100% chance for it. It's a small chance in each chest as well as a small chance for a piece of T1 gear, which is why you are getting some infernal gear. I won't swear that there couldn't be a bug, but what you described sounds wai.

Sometimes t2 chests grant you t1 pieces. I'd just buy the piece you need from AH if I were you though. Those are too cheap now

Yeah, and honestly, for the warlock it's the best armor in the game. Better then Black Ice armor, better then the Draconic Armor, better then any of the PvP armor.

The lack of overdrive slots are made up for by the 4 piece bonus.

The complete set was costing around 100k AD total the last time I looked. This is a huge drop in price from before Tiamat launched.
    Jenna Sunsoul - Justice Tankadin
    Aelar Hawkwind - Archer
Karrin Feywinter - Mistress of Flame
    Errin Duskwalker - Executioner
    Darquess - Soulbinder

A huge drop in price and a huge drop in a sense of accomplishment.

One helpful thing I'll say is that you do not need the weapons. The drake seal vendor weapons aren't that much worse and will serve you just fine until you can get either the dread legion weapon set from Valindra's tower, or your artifact stuff.

Dread Vault can be a real pain. Luckily you only need the armor pieces for the bonus.

now you can start farming the Fabled Illianbruen gear from MC, as it is proving to outdamage Accursed by 3 to 4 x when fighting dragons and bosses in general.

Accursed isn't really that great the higher dps you go since the bonus is static. It is extremely good however when your DPS as low, because the bonus is static.

at 19.xk gs AD is about 9% DPS for me. When I was 12k it was like 35% DPS.

The damage it does hasn't changed and won't change. The damage I do from everything else has just gone up.

I would kill for a 10% dmg buff armor set that isn't reliant on having a soul puppet out (much less 30% like DC/CWs have, omg). Something like "Valiant Warrior" T1 GF armor would be an improvement over AD.

Eventually we'll get enough power creep that the 5% dmg bonus on the Draconic Templar will out damage AD. Maybe mod 6 or 7...

Of course CWs and DCs will still be using their t2/t1 sets for that 30%, as they'll never offer something better than that.

Just buy the gear. Honestly, unless you really want to do Kessel or PvP it's the only gear the warlock will ever need. It's better then Black Ice gear and better then even the Draconic Templar gear. Which is kinda sad. But there it is.

And between you and me it's probably the best for PvP as well. Unless the Drow armor is better.

this is extremely circumstantial, in many cases AD set will win out, but in PvP it performs poorly vs the top enders, instead the purified set is best (i use corrupted and then the purified with HP bonuses) decent increase in HP and defenses + being Fury specced = very hard to kill, and still able to kill fast.

AD set gets beat out in DPS by the Fabled Illianbruen when fighting bosses and high HP mobs like Dragons and Tiamat.

also, many have been stating that once your in the higher lvls, AD set loses out even compared to double Overload slot configurations (also circumstantial since the AD set proc is guaranteed, where you have to hope the proc is up for overloads)

Oh no, please don't use Accursed Diabolist in PvP. Really SW's using that set in PvP die too quickly.

To be fair, BI Gear + 2x Greater Red Glyphs does a better job than AD in PvE and cause of Tenacity (which got improved) also best set for PvP. Since I expect that the Drow set also will get a "do more dps when target is under 20% HP", Black Ice will remain great for a SW.

Not quite. Im seeing 6-8% with greater reds vs 9% of ad in add fights. Solo boss fights i'm wearing mc of course. I don't see bi as worth farming purely for pve, especially since you need to constantly feed it red glyphs.

The only thing I would say is that BI is the pvp gear. It just gives too much in survivability compared to AD.

Dunno, if we had no HD for our lifesteal in PvP, AD would probably do just well. PvP rings set + AD...DoT glass cannon build.

If not all those broke ferocious reactions, bloodtheft and other multiple times trigging reflecting powers - _ -

the big problem with AD set in PvP is the fact that hellfire proc doesnt truly get used well on the standard Harrowstorm/Bargain/Killing FLames combo.

Though, Hellish rebuke + Bargain is a nasty little combo that can eat away at your victim, but you need to be willing to run away and jump back in with a killing flames when they don't expect it.

However, AD set using Bargain and Dreadtheft is an amazing way to kill DC's lol

Not to derail the conversation. But where PvP is concerned don't we lose unless we're a rogue anyways. And before Rogue it was Control Wizard, and before that Hunter Ranger, and before that Great Weapon Fighter?

Until the devs truly learn how to do PvP it doesnt really matter what gear you wear. Expecially when a 9k GS TR can do 20k dots on you with a at will....
