Always. It seems to get worse the higher level the enchant. I wouldn't be surprised to hear that it has triggered seizures in some poor souls in the NW community.
It's the most common enchant and the worst visual effect. I know the devs have shown zero interest in revisiting old weapon/armor/enchant/appearance assets (witness all the clipping issues with clothing, weapons, and even hair styles,) but this particular one affects so many people it would be nice if they gave it another pass.
Yeah, I have a perfect Vorpal on my HR - the strobing is headache-inducing and it's right were it's most annoying: on my character's back staring me in the face.
I am dead serious when I say the "effect" is so annoying I'm going to sell it in the AH. CHEAP. I already just yesterday sold off my Perfect Briartwine for 2.5 Mil for the same reason. It shouldn't look like a baby Groot is trying to burst out of my chest like Alien on a constant basis.
I don't think the FX is bad; it is Vorpal after all.
Any effect that brings across the idea of making a blade infinitely and indefinitely sharp can work. The current Greater and Perfect Vorpals give off more of a white glitchy lightsaber look with lots of sparkles. Earlier ranks aren't that bad.
Maybe keep the sparkles, but change from the lightsaber to a white sheen that flashes across the weapon. More/larger sparkles and a more noticeable sheen at higher ranks.

Precisely.
Less is more.
The lesser ranked enchantment effects aren't so bad at all. The normal and greater get worse. The Perfect is horrendous.
Ugh, I'm glad I'm a TR and my weapon isn't splattered across my back. It's still hideous and seizure-inducing, but at least it's at my hip or in my hand lost in other effects. I too would love to not have to see the P.Vorp effect ever again. I miss when it was Lesser and Normal and it was just the sparkly effect.
Largely inactive, playing Skyforge as Nai Calus.

I don't know if it's possible, but if they could apply the effect to *just* the actual thin cutting edge, instead of the whole blade, that'd be a huge improvement.

Good idea, but what about DC Symbols, HR Bows and Druid Staffs?
if you lower the visual FX quality you;ll get rid of that. Game now with Tiamat is so flashy that i rly cant play with full settings, i have this feeling that my eyes are gonna pop the next second...
Thanks Gods, there's a possibility to transmute its horrible effect off a bit....
For quite a long time we ask them to just allow us to set whether we want certain visual effects on or not (like the headpiece and cloaks - I'd be really depressed if I was forced to see them on my char all the time)? but, alas....

Srsly.
The only thing I think they could do is to have the option to disable the enchantments's effects, which is being suggested for a long time.
