I really want to stick with IV, because it's what I'm really used to. I have a 17.9k GS.

Current specs: KlZloWr.jpg

Please help me out. I want a build that's going to help with Tiamat's fight.

what are you're problems in that fight?, cause the Destroyer build is pretty much the same in every guide.
    - Check any guide for numbers, cause i see a lot of room for improvement there (you have a bit too much arpen for pve 29% while tiamat has 25 DR)

Umm, no my ArPen is not 29%. It's only 23.7% currently.

Armpen gives roughly 10 Percent of stat for DR, which suggests you have about 19% from that, and you are getting 9% from CON. At least that's how it works on my GWF's.

(What does it say when you hover over it? The GWF I have logged in now is 1644 Armpen and it gives 16.7%. I get 8% from Con. Just curious.)

I think you could sacrifice a bit of Recovery. (I have a bit over half what you have after lowering it.. and not noticing a loss.) You definitely need more crit and more power. You have more HP than I think are needed in PvE for a GWF, but that is just me.

As for destroyer, go full AoW set, all radiants in offense, azure in defense.. lifesteal 8-10% :)

Ewww. I'm not going to go AoW. I might go half AoW and half Draconic Templar, but I'm not giving up overload slots for AoW. That's old gear.

Well, old or not Ive seen GWFs over 20K GS still dressed in Avatar so maybe check it out. With that recovery and as a Destro you'll have the AoW bonus up all the time in battle. Other than that you should have zero issues with your gear in any PVE scenario

I got in game and took screenies of my actual stats with companions and whatnot. Here's what I did have:

ArPen says 23.7% on hover, sorry didn't screenshot that.

I just feel like I'm not doing as much damage as other GWF I see with around the same GS.

As an old-timer GWF, i'd say my 17k gwf can outdps several 20k gs ones. for those that use 2-2 set, definitely wont match the DPS of full aow. but well, i've not play my gwf since mod 4.. maybe things have change now.

Constitution adds on top of arpen.. so atm you have 33.7 Resistance ignored

This is a guide for you how to balance the crit/power depending on crit severity(dont forget to add all of it Vorpal-racials-companions and boons):
    http://laggygamerz.com/forum/index.php?/topic/342-crit-power-and-dps-the-numbers-guide/

Your recovery is a bit too much:

from 2500 to 3500 you only gain 4% so i would stop at 2500

I never knew about Constitution adding on top of the arpen. I thought that it would account for that when I hovered over it. I did a few changes with my stats, and did a slight feat and boon respec. It lowered my GS down to 17.6k, but my arpen and recovery aren't so incredibly high right now. Thank you all for your input.

Looking at your feats. Considering your high defence you really should have 5 points in steely defence. Would give you more power which also would help with damage.

Yeah, I did end up doing that. I think I have my numbers a little better. My arpen is still a bit too high, but I'm working on switching out some Darks for Radiants, but I only had enough AD to buy one Radiant last night. I might post new build and stats later after I go ice fishing.

Edited, not saw your next screenshot.

Power is 7700 for 17k is not much. 9000+ at 17k. For weapon enchantment stick to perfect vorpal (plaguefire, terror, or lighning might be good too, but I would suggest vorpal).
Your crit is too low. You need at leat 3000+ with dex it goes to 35-40% + use weapon master and destroyer as passives.
Def is too much, you could stop around 2500-3000 and go for health instead. Regeneration is not good for pve, change it for lifesteal, around 1500 or 10%.

With overload slot you get 800 power+. With full Avatar set you get +1000 to power, +1000 to recovery. You can cut back your recovery, to around 1500-2000 with full AOW. + You get a lot of crit from the set, so you wont need any other ring or necklace with crit.
I only use radiants in offense slots.

Stat distribution with 17k with augment pet: Around 9000+power, 3500 crit, 1000-1500 lifesteal, 24% armorpen(9 from CON, so 1500 armp is enough. 1500-2500recovery, 2500-3000 defense, 25-30k HP, 0 regen and deflect.

For rotation at Tiamat, well, Sentinel is a bit better with come and get it and Daring Shout. At cleric fight I stand at spawning areas, and use frontline/not so fast when devils appear+IBS. Avalanche of steel, if there's a lot enemy - Or you can use Slam, and try to get the aggro away from clerics. - Just try to keep the fight away from clerics...I change not so fast for restoring stike when Tiamat comes, indomitable Strenght as other Daily on Tiamat.

One more thing: since mod4 we are in combat advantage a lot, so gaining CA bonus is very helpful. I'd change aoe resist to CA, and get CA bonus pets. I guess it goes around 1000 Ca bonus, when Diminishing kicks in (so you dont need any higher.)
As a Destro I go with higher Dex and lower Con too. 24-14-24 is my final - going higher armorpen gives me power, and health comes easily from def slot. But you get +5% crit chance from higher Dex. It's really just my preference, helps dps, and I can survive with run well enough.
My story is truly a grand tale! Of course, any story about me is going to be grand simply by virtue of the main character.
