My Dragon Bone weapon is not scaling to my Level (Scepter)

Hello guys,

I wonder if anyone else has ever experienced this problem. So I equipped my Dragon Bone Scepter at level 10, and its stats say +5 power, +1 Critical Strike, and +1 Recovery. It has not changed since.

Specifics:
-I used a different Class character to Buy it.
-I Transmuted it early on since it cost only 100 Ads.

I wonder if anyone can help me with this.

Thank you

Transmute is what did it. It will do the same thing to any items of that type (Mulhorand, Xvim, Dragon Bone).

Do you have any idea how to fix it? I did that before with my Dragon Bone Longbow, it scaled just fine.

Resolved an issue that could cause level scaling items to not work properly if dyed or transmuted.
I think it could depend on when you did it, you might have to contact support.

I transmuted it a couple of hours ago, at level 10. I have contacted support though. Thanks!

Okay so I searched that. Was only for Test server or something?

One of the other scaling issues was that transmuting the item would reduce all stats to 0. Whether or not the issue you are having is related to that matter, the patch (at least by the wording of the notes) would have fixed that as well. I would suggest PMing a dev (such as Panderus) for further information as well, or at least bring the matter to his attention; although the devs do read the bug report forums, they may not always have time to respond personally.

Oh. Do you mean I should contact devs in-game or in forums? I submitted a bug report in-game about it though.

I don't think it is broken, unless I read you wrong. If you transmuted another item to look like it? It is still that other item, and has that other items properties. Unless that other item was a scaling item? It is not going to scale.

If you, for instance, used your Dragon Bone Scepter to transmute a Holy Symbol of Gob-smashing, what you have now is a non scaling Holy Symbol of Gob-smashing that LOOKS LIKE a scaling Dragon Bone Scepter.

    Could that be it?

Nah, it's an ongoing issue where if you transmute your Dragon Bone Scepter to look like a Holy Symbol of Gob-Smashing, the stats on the tooltip don't update. The item still works though (at least it did in some cases), and as lewstelamon pointed out this may be getting fixed with the new patch.

Ok. I know about that one, but couldn't imagine anyone doing that. The Holy Symbol of Gob-Smashing looks HORRIBLE! =)

Now I'm confused. I am using a Dragon Bone Scepter, i transmuted it to look like something else. It should still Scale right?

Yes. In that case, it is what the others say, most likely. If you have an item that scales, and make it look like something else, it still scales. You have an item that does not scale, it does not begin scaling because you made it look like an item that does.

So.. you probably have a bug.

But it seems different in that the ones I saw showed zeros but still gave the stats (if I remember right.) So take the item off and see how much the stats change, then put it on, see how much they increase. Do the values match?

Only the Damage of the item scales, but the stats remain at a value of 1. I check the AH and Collections to see what the values should say, and they're a lot different.

This happened to me too, but I noticed that removing the item and equipping it again did actually raise and lower my stats as expected even though the stats displayed on the tooltip were all really low. Thankfully it seems like it's just a tooltip error, probably related to that little bit about what it was transmuted to and how that relates to whatever distinguishes a level 10 version of the item from a level 50 version. Understandably worrying and kind of annoying, but it should still actually be scaling with you, just not displaying it properly.
