oops typo i mean drow*

its best for pvp except for shield QQers (more pewpew less QQ i say); its on the gateway now and will prolly be released next week

bis pve or no?

    Community says, that it will have overload slots.
    If it will; It will be arbitrarily better than Profound.

    But is it BIS?
    It has most tenacity and increases Tabbed spell`s dmg and recharge speed.
    But the question is; Do you; as CW; need more tenacity?

    Many (if not most) CW plays purely DPS, especially spamming foes with Ice Knife, often gaining AP also with Sigil of the Devoted.

    I personally stay on the range of 70–80 feets most the time and spam Ice Knife`s too aswell.
    I don`t need defense. I need to finish foes fast; I cannot start to others in melee range, but can kill foes really fast and; well; it`s my job as DPS. control; kill and let our team to take next spot.

    If you play defensive (I personally think any tanky shielded CW`s just missed of appointment, often still being killed fast and because of weak DPS; not being able to overDPS the DC/GF/GWFs) and your Tabbed skill is your BIS; you will find Drow a BIS too.

    If you weren`t playing Profound already; you will propably not found Drow a BIS.

    No, sadly still the same armor set since Beta is BIS pve...HV

    Agreed. For a cw that does damage tabing shield would not be an option. Granted if your only doing premades and just hangin out with the DC it can be helpful. (I hate doing that so freakin boring, but effective). I still will try the new set out. Hell the more dps the better. Pew, pew!!! XD

    Much like the High Prophet T1 set for PvE DC's and the High Vizier T2 set for CWs - Both sets have been around forever and are still BiS for their respective classes.

    Drow set only exists in gateway. When it will actually appear, in mod6 or mos7, it will have to be BiS one way or the other.

    Oh here my stats for GWF:

    Drow Destroyer Armor
    1568 Power
    2193 Crit
    734 Recovery
    1296 Defense
    734 Deflect
    Deflect and Slow 4-set bonus

    Avatar of War
    1271 Power 2621 Power(buffed)
    1721 Crit
    574 Recovery 1924 Recovery(buffed)
    1188 Defense
    574 Deflect


    Drow Instigator and Drow Sentinel have irrelevant stats.
    Drow Destroyer gives you more nearly 500 more Crit
    and the Deflect 4-set bonus. You loose over 1k Power and
    Recovery = not worth.
    Everything else is to minor to make a change.
    The reason why new armor is worse than Avatar of War are
    the 4-set boni and the stat destribution. Here the latest
    M5 armor:

    Draconic Templar
    4930 HP
    1994 Defense
    1023 Power
    811 Rec
    698 LS/Regen
    665 Armor Pen
    150 AP-gain
    + 5 Damage/Damage Resistance Debuff
    2 Overload Slots


    No Crit, low Recovery, low Power, useless HP and random Armor Pen that
    forces you to rework your build. The 4-set bonus and the Overload slots are nice
    also no useless deflect and rather LS and Regen, but the rest sucks to much.
