Meaningless assertions - a short story

There was I.
Searching and finding a game I found it. A game. Called "Neverwinter". A game full of different kinds of landscapes. Themes. Terrains. Stories. Possibilities.
Since one and a half year, I am enjoying it. Since it seriously improved a lot. There are many kinds of people everywhere around here. From casual to hardcore grinders. Roleplayers and complaining "kids".
I said "kids" by intention, since I have to listen every day to some sentences, which are only meant to be hurtful - but in the other hand, completely meaningless.
People don't seem to understand, why games are existing. There are multiple of explanations for it. Let it be.. having fun / enjoying it, having psychological problems which lead you to flee from reality into a fantasy world, addiction or also.. being distracted from unfortunately common kinds of deaths.
I want to enjoy playing. I go there to build up another personality. To have fun. Looking for contacts, since I can't really say, if I have friends or not - and also fleeing into another dimension. Away from reality. More into fantasy. At least for a short period of time, until the serious problems start again - in reality. Such as.. taking medication, so you aren't having seizures, aggressions or anything related to that.
Unfortunately, I don't find it pleasant anymore to follow my huge interest in PvP.
The first time I've seen a complaint, I got hurt. Tried to express myself to this person. Fixing this argue, due to my warm and - yes, I confess - soft heart, before I begin to cry, since I am innocent and have problems to take so much negative criticism.
I remember the first time, when a person complained at me, as there wouldn't be any morning after it anymore. I was a level 36, young and fresh forest girl. Wood elf. With a bow and two knifes. Looking for some fun. Finding domination PvP and training my skills - and those of other classes, so I can use some situations for my own advantage.
But then, no one else than some person in my own group had to complain at me. In the public chat.. "Juli COWARD".
I didn't know what was going on. Why this person complained at me. And even began to spam "coward" in the chat. I tried to calm this person down. Didn't help. Instead I ate more, way harder hurtful things until I began to regret, that I tried to fix this horrible argue - since trying to fix this was only making it even worse. But I was just there to train / play.
The assertion was, that I am not able to do anything different than charging in, hitting, and if I lose too much health or I don't see any reason to fight 3 versus me, I am hiding and running away.
Why is it that bad to run away? What if this is the kind of tactical fights I am used to do, to succeed a few moments later?
The end of the day was, that I got pretty hurt from this assertion / complaint, and that person put me on ignore list. Since then, I stopped playing PvP until I became grown - a level 60 forest woodelf girl. I started PvP'ing again. Every day. To do my dailies. But also, to get glory. Farming my profound equipment. Until I am finally something more deadly, than just a weak fairy which shoots with towels.
When I had some gear already & reached 13.7k +, I finally began to pull some life away. But my enemies in the other group in PvP weren't finding this amusing - at all.
Instead someone began to hurt me - again. Only because I was able to kill this person. More than once.
Right after it, I wasn't even able to reply. I got ignored. A second time. From a second person. I thought to myself.. "Oh. Well.. let's just try to forget this accident and move on."
Not much later, I met someone very aggressive.
The enemy team had tanks. Two of them. We? We only had squishies. Not even a DC. Me as a squishy, I began to run around. Even running away from GF's, since they can really keep me / others knocked down forever, until I am dead.
So.. why not taking advantage of increased movement speed & thinking, how to flee out of this situation to attack back after some point?
Right.. I forgot that it isn't allowed to play like this.. otherwise you'll be marked as..
This was the third time from a third person. I tried to act cool and calm. Even though I got extremely offended and hurt. I felt a little pain from this.
Today I wanted to play some PvP's - again. Like every day. Unfortunately met the same person like before.. the GF. And in the middle of the fight, I had to read..
And now I am asking you - dear offenders. Why aren't you just accepting the play style of other people, which is quite a bit different than your own? Instead you want your enemy to react the same like you. How, if your enemy is playing a complete different class? You probably expect every enemy to play like you want. You don't want to let them their freedom. You try to lock them. Educate them in another way. Teaching them, how to play.
I lack knowledge, understanding and will, to really understand this kind of behavior you have to inflict someone.
Unfortunately, I am not the only person, which is being harassed and used as if I'd be stupid and not knowing, what I am doing. Not to say, that I am a.. "putita barata".
And this.. this is really something I am taking personally.
No one in game should ever be able to hurt someone else. Since there aren't always cold-hearted players sitting behind the PC which give nothing about an assertion - but also people which might have psychological pain and self doubt, which keeps increasing - not fixing - as something like this happens.
This is not a story to complain about insultings I have, and others have to take. I simply want to finally make you people realize, that this game is not only about measuring, how large your lower limb actually is. Why don't you first search on yourself what you can complain about? And not helplessly screaming bad names after someone unknown.
I bet, you, dear offenders, are doing this in real life.
You might only feel save, as long as you keep hiding behind your PC and you virtually insult people, since you know, they won't visit you and you'll be save forever behind your PC.
I am sorry for everyone who had to feel the same like me. And everyone else, who might have the same opinion like me about this.
Even though I can't change the way, people behave. I at least want to show you, that this is going way too far.

Anyone who needs to express themselves that way are very sad people who should be pitied but not taken seriously.
Continue to play the way which brings you joy.

It won't get better. If anything, it will get worse. It's not like people are getting nicer.
The only way you can improve it is by working on yourself, not others. Learn to disregard opinions of those who don't matter to you. Otherwise you're gonna have a hard time not only in the virtual world.
