Don't you think it's time for multiple action bars?

Now that we have Tiamat, I have to change my powers continuously during phases (CW), I don't know about other classes, but everytime I have to change AoE / Single Target spells, and that is really boring.

Can we do something?

UP UP UP UP this needs attention.
I do a lot of changes too as a DC and I guess this is valid for all classes. 2 small button near the skills allowing you to change between a limited number of setups, 4 for example would be nice.
This should be possible only when you are out of combat, to avoid people casting all encounters possible.
I don't know why this was not implemented yet, changing skills is now routine and is very annoying.

Or move the travel power to 0, open up 3 more slots.

+1 for multiple action bars, assuming once you trigger the switch, each power becomes active once the previously slotted power comes off cooldown.

Yeap, swapping my powers and gear in between the phase often leads me to the lava. I mean I fall while riding my mount to one of the heads in timat temple - . -

Tiamat really highlights this issue. There is no time between AoEing to defend the clerics, and single-target on the heads.

Switching is easier for some classes than others. My HR may change 1 power between the two situations, as do my SWs - and they can switch powers while channeling Dreadtheft.

But my CW has 4 encounters to switch - and she has met death more than once while the powers page was opened, and a devil hit her hard while a meteor simultaneously hit. Power-switching is faster since I learned you could right-click on a power and choose the slot to put it in, but it still takes time to scroll up and down the powers page and choose the powers to click on.

I wish we had even a COUPLE more slots for Encounter powers, I can't see any reason we can't - other, lesser games have it - and it'd make combat a bit more fun.

Right before the phase change, I sometimes purposely get myself kill. There is no skill cooldown after you release so you can immediately change skills. Then you can call a mount and you would get to the dragon quicker than outrunning the mob after you

This has been request TOO MANY TIMES, and nothing has been said about it, yet.
I saw a community manager disagreeing about this idea somewhere in a similar post. So don't expect this to happen any time soon.

I think this is the third posting this week asking for the same thing -- which has been asked, begged, and pleaded for many, many, many, MANY times SINCE BETA.

Unless you can tell the developers how to implement multiple action bars on a CONSOLE controller, don't hold your breath.

Well, there are plenty of games (all the way back to N64 days) that use variations on multiple action bars. Most recent I can think of would be DMC4 with the ability to change classes on a toggle mid-battle. Maybe a click on the joystick buttons to swap between two sets.

Don't think more than 2 preset action bars would be necessary, but I see a problem where people would try to swap mid-cooldown in a mimic of the HR class mechanic.

I haven't played any other MMO's out there, but I've heard from plenty of folks saying that the multi-action bar is common in other games. Don't know how they have addressed the overlapping cooldown issue, but I'm sure some have.

Also, they could make it like idle companion slots. You get two at level 60, but can unlock the second before 60 by purchasing the extra bar. In conjunction with that, they could make it where you have a max of 5 action bars per character at 100 Zen each or the full pack of 3 extra (assuming post-60) for 275 Zen. Then there would be a nice ROI & it wouldn't be out of reach for the majority of players.

I like the simplicity of few skills, that being said I wish we had a little more freedom, I have some skills I love (like deft strike) to use because they're fun, but I end up using another one because it's more useful.
I wish we could put as mani dailies/encounters/at wills at any place of the skill bar. For example I barely use more than 1 at will, I could replace that with an encounter.
