Where to find a Dragon Egg

Could someone please let me know where to find a Dragon Egg? Is there any particular dungeon chest that it may spawn in? (I am looking for a possible in-game spawn location -- not a trip to the auction).

Thanks.

You can buy it from the AH, get it from nodes etc.

Unless I am mistaken, the eggs can be received from the Profession packs (ther's a chance to get an epic resource).

yesterday opened 3 Professions Special Packs and got 2 eggs. Not sure if i was super lucky or what..
getting one from a nod is highly doubtful. i can remind just one report in the forum a long time ago.
the best solution - if you don't want to rely on your luck - to buy directly from AH.

There used to be a Graveyard quest whose reward was a Dragon egg.

    Yea-yea.
Back in the good old times the orcs were greener and the undead emm... deader :p

BTW, as far as I recall, once I also managed to get an egg from a Waukeen's purse.

The graveyard quest awards a profession pack, not a egg. There is a huge difference between a very small chance for an egg, and one as an actual reward.

The Dragon Scale Merchants at the top-Western side of Hall of Justice (Dragonborns) sells these items for "Silvery Dragon Scales".

    Premium Tab:
    Pseudodragon Companion (Epic) = 100
Red Dragon Ioun Stone (Rare) = 60
    Dragonborn Raider (Uncommon) = 30
    Lesser Dragon's Hoard Enchantment (Rank 8) = 15
    Dragon Egg = 10
    Fang of Bahamut = 5
    Draconic Enchantment (Rank 5) = 2

    Common Tab:
    Tears of Bahamut = 2
Lesser Black Dragon Glyph = 1
Lesser White Dragon Glyph = 1
Lesser Blue Dragon Glyph = 1
Lesser red Dragon Glyph = 1
Lesser Green Dragon Glyph = 1
    4x Draconic Blue Dye Pack = 1
    4x Draconic White Dye Pack = 1
    4x Draconic Green Dye Pack = 1
    4x Draconic Black Dye Pack = 1
    4x Draconic Red Dye Pack = 1

    You're welcome. :)

Thanks angrysprite, I forgot they were available there.

I'm on a tight budget so I can't really put money into this game, so I have to mainly rely on in-game spawns for items like this.

So it sounds like the main source of these is as a rare drop from skill nodes?

Really, the main source of Dragon Eggs is a series of Events that have a greater than normal chance to drop the things.
People Farm those and then rely on that store until the next Event comes up. Heck, there was a REALLY good one a little over a year ago (Wakeen's, maybe? I forget) that dropped them like hotcakes. I'm still Egg Solvent from that. Although I really don't use them anymore (my RnG Powers are too weak for high end Crafting).

Blink your eyes, and the world you see next did not exist when you closed them. Therefore, he said, the only appropriate state of the mind is surprise. The only appropriate state of the heart is joy. The sky you see now, you have never seen before. The perfect moment is now. Be glad of it.' Terry Pratchet The Thief Of Time
