The patch fixed the "kill Red, despawn them all" bug. The shortest route is to go from Green to Black, not starting at White.
If you start at White, then go to Black, you have to run across the ENTIRE zone to get to the next dragon. If you start Green, you minimize the amount of running you have to do to get to the next dragon.
There's no KILL ORDER to the dragons. Lets' stop demanding that people kill them starting at White first.
At the very least, let's at least agree to take the FASTEST path.

Basically you are 100% right it is obviously faster... but
Why? And who would profit from that? Doesnt change anything despite speeding up the zerg train by like 20 seconds?
i dont even.....
you forgot running from point 3 to point 1 ? ( when you enter the town you find yourself near to point 3 )
all in all it's the same distance and what you ve proposed is dumber i think , since you go to point 1 then you come back , and same thing if you start from the center , you go to the farther dragon !
Going from white leaves the people without a fast mount in the dust during the transition from 5 to 1. The more time spent running, the more important a faster mount becomes, and the bigger the gap.
But at the end of the day, it's obvious that none of this matters. People are just going to do whatever they want, and other people are going to scream extremely toxic things at them for "doing it wrong".
The point being, there's no reason to start from White anymore. That made sense when you wanted to kill Red last. That's no longer the case, so people should stop screaming about how everyone MUST start at white. If people are going to demand a kill order, it should at least be the shortest path.
The time only matters once the event starts running. If you enter the zone a minute or two before :45, that minute to run up to Green doesn't matter. However, it DOES matter if you spend that extra minute running from Black to Green. When the dragons are dying as fast as they are, the less time you spend on your horse, the better.
You are correct. That is the fastest path.
However, try convincing pugs to cooperate. This is nothing but a zergfest and so problems will arise.
I'm leaning towards a new strategy:
Are there a million people there?
Yes: Go to random dragon on the right side of the map. Get in enough damage before the hoard arrives to ensure one Great Success.
No: Doesn't much matter, do the old rotation.
And actually starting at green is about the same if people are running the old rotation. So you all just do what you want.
(Really, without the red dragon glitch it's debatable if a rotation is even worthwhile if you can't keep up.)
There will be plenty of folks who "know" that you have to leave the Red one until last and don't even know why or that the bug is fixed.
For me it's no big deal. I have a slow mount and usually manage to get to each fight in time to participate. Occasionally I get waylaid by a random mob and thus miss out on a dragon but, hey, that's the game and I know when the next dragons will turn up.
Chance of using this forum to organise every random pug in the game: 0%
Has it ever been confirmed that the red drops better loot, or is just wild rumors?
you are ruining your grinding when you run with 20 players from dragon to dragon lol
Yes, and for some folks, it doesn't make sense to spend Zen on a 110% mount, especially when you only have 1 character. It doesn't matter if they're account wide. icyclass has it right anyway; if you want to ensure at least 1 Great Success, start on a dragon alone or with very few people. While the dragonzerg is downing the others, you'll at least get 1 Great Success. If more folks start to do this, it'll work itself out instead of the pointless running around in a circle and everyone will have a better chance at mad l00t.
I don't know by how much the drop ratings increase from Encounter Completed to Great Successes but this way you guys think sounds very wrong, even if the chances are doubled.
I also dont know ,this should be figured out somehow, I was just saying this because out of the plenty Encouter completed Ive gotten pretty much nothing except some blue gear which is sometimes lvl 59 lol, but out of few Great succes i dropped one artifact belt...though just seldarine.
But still i may be wrong ... and id really like to know how it really is.
...oh and i forget on few T1 bracers, but not sure if they are from both Great succes and also Encounter completed, but thats just 4k ad...cant compare with artifact belt or neck...
