(CW Build) A little help getting a restart

Hi there,

Since 5 months I've become a proud father of my first child, which also made me put this game aside, since it's hard to play instances between feeding and chancing diapers ;-).
Now I've got some time again I wanted to pick up playing once more. Browsing the forums for a bit I've noticed things have changed alot and I can't really figure out which build to get, since all my feets have been reset.
I'm a lvl60 Spellstorm mage. I was a Renegade before. Is spellstorm still viable? What path to chose? Anyone got a basic build laying around to start off with?

You're probably still fine as a renegade. If you're playing pve only and your build broadly looks like this http://nwcalc.com/cw?b=cn4:13ydj4:13ydj4,13j3ih0:150000:150000:1z00z1&h=0&p=ssm you are pretty much good to go. Our current spell rotations are tab icy conduit or chill strike and then steal time, icy terrain and sudden storm.

What happend to the shard? Nerfed into oblivion? Haha

Yeah its pretty much dead. Unless you have a party that needs a huge amount of crowd control its not worth slotting.
