I originally posted my discouragement on another thread but I felt it needed one of its own.
These new lockboxes have nothing of value in them whatsoever. The accelerated belt and cloak drop rates mean that my cloak which should be worth a fair bit of money is now currently worth next to nothing. I got an epic artefact too, also worthless as everyone has legendary gear thanks to refinement being bound.
Guess there is no more incentive to spend money on this module.

good thing you aren't opening boxes to use. rather than sell.
Well actually I do want the legendary artifact. And smart people bought cheap rp while it was available to refine their gear. And people that open normal lockboxes generally do it to sell the gear inside.. unless they want to bind an epic mount over their zen mount.. mmhmm.. the point remains

Yeah, this is terrible. It sucks that people are actually able to get a fair chance at Legendary gear, instead of having to pay millions of AD for it on the AH.
I don't know who internally changed the philosophy from forcing people to spend hundreds of dollars on keys or AD to get gear, and made it so it was actually obtainable through playing the game, but that's crazy.
The second Cryptic starts catering to the players, instead of those opening up lockboxes is the second this game goes downhill.

1) They're hardly worthless, they're still worth a fair bit. They will go down though.
2) Drops rates have been abysmally low, they NEEDED to increase drop rates. Seriously the only thing I've been doing last module is dailies, no farming because it wasn't worth it. That was a HUGE problem.
3) Don't like the lockbox? Dont open them. There's still old lockboxes and just staying clear this module
4) I never found that I got value for money on anything anyway.
Honestly, the life of this game is pushing it because of waste of effort, bop rp with the current system isn't helping but the rewards this module might actually help bring some life into the game. As long as tiamat doesn't continue to be a complete lagfest.
well actually this was more of a dig at belt and cloak drop rates but it seems nobody cares and i hear they are fixing it anyway

Actually man, the new boxes are profitable and well worth opening, based on my calculations. You forget the value of bars and the other items in there.
If you want a bad box, look at the fey box. That box is awful.
