I play both, though with D/D here which I've always loved (go Baldur's Gate!!!), I haven't done much with my X360 lately. Though with next week's major releases, esp. DA Inquisition, that may change, so I wondered if others split their time too?
Also, I'm curious about the date of Tiamat, since it's on the same day as Mordor and Dragon's Age. Maybe to help stem any strays...? I don't buy any console games new anymore, learned my lesson with AssCreed 3, but when the initial bugs are fixed, I'll jump in for sure as I loved that first DA. Don't know about Mordor, very limited class choices.
No idea why module five is being released on the 18th , it could be WotC that want it that way so it fits in with the D&D worldwide ToD campaign , it is certainly unusual to release a new module on a Tuesday though.

Probably some genius at Marketing figured there would be some kind of point to it. 5€ on the actual devs desiring to put Voodoo curses on him for the resulting schedule.

Nah it's a cryptic thing, they always release modules on Tuesdays, so they can start "fixing" any bugs that pop up on Thursday's maintenance. Same thing was happening in STO a month ago.

Not Neverwinter , every Neverwinter module has been released on Thursday , only module three was released on Tuesday , we discussed it in a earlier thread -
I never really get the console hate, they're often more compact, pretty cost effective for the system itself and often decent media/gaming devices. Of course they're going to be less powerful the PCs that have GPUs that cost the same or more than the entire system, if you really want that top end performance, then consoles may not be for you, but it doesn't mean the product itself is bad. I mean they're sold pretty close to cost or even for a loss.
Though one of the main points I liked about the PC was the free internet connection so past the ps2 era I didn't use my 360 (would've preferred ps3 but they were delayed). Though for the last few years I've felt a downturn on gaming personally.

Yeah, Xbox Live Gold and such are nonsense. Pay for the game, or to play it at most, but not both.
But if you can play properly and with skill in the console, keybinding anything that you can in the PC, I'd definitely play in the console because of its practicality... and because of the graphics.

You can, though key binds are more combos much of the time. I'm surprised that we don't get a 2nd toolbar for backup power setups on this game, PCs have often offered this in games. Esp. when there are so many good powers to use, and no way to switch them in and out. One game I play on console has 3 separate options you can switch back and forth between, the mage, the warrior and the rogue. So I hit with arrows, summon with the mage, and turn to warrior if they get close enough for melee, which they rarely do. Now I have an invisibility spell that rocks. Oblivion had one too, they're sweet.

This is because the hardware is already not up-to-date at release of a console. Also the company usually makes a deficit per sold console. The money comes from the games and licences, not from the console itsself. Because of that it is a HUGHE problem, if a console actually fails to sell enough games.
I myself play sometimes on consoles. I plan on getting myself a Wii U for Christmas because of Bayonetta 2. I loved the first one.
For the new NWO-Module: I do not care about it a bit. Usually iam quite excited for expansions, but not on this game.
Which then spills over into PC games through ports and whatnots, since the developers understanably enough tend not redo the games for cross-platform release. And given what the production budgets of "AAA" games tend to be like and the due need to get them sold as much as possible that tends to result in the "high end" new games being held hostage to the numerous limitations of the console platforms.
Though for the last few years I've felt a downturn on gaming personally.
Blasphemy!
You must not betray your religion! There are developers out there whose life in a cubicle depends on your regular donations to the gaming industry and your involuntary unpaid hours of software testing!
Imaginary Friends are the best friends you can have!

Well consoles have to reach a happy medium of price and performance. Have it too cheap and you skimp out on the hardware to compensate, have it too powerful and not many will be able to buy it and it could make the system flop. Though I haven't really had hands on this gen, I'd say the performance is pretty decent for the cost and probably more powerful than a lot of gamers current options. Of course over a 10 year or whatever lifespan that age will start to show more. The thing is, people have options and those options meet the target market fairly well I think.

Well part of it could just be me finding less enjoyment overall in life and that decline in enjoyment just affects my view of gaming, or it could also be down to bad choices on to spend my time. Also the jerks of the gaming community sometimes get me down. Bugs do annoy me though, everyone gets them, but when you neglect issues, it kind of makes you look like you don't give a $#!+. Not sure if I will find something that truly meets what I want for the long term or if I should find another hobby *shrug*. Dunno how lots of people fit it in, I can but I'm more free, if I wasn't idk if I could fit it in at all o.o. Or maybe I just need to be more social, not that I'm anti social, but in some ways I don't want to be a bother so I mostly pug for example t2 gear in this game rather than drag guildies that don't need it

Well, this console generation is the one with the smallest jump of every other generation-change. Recent PS3 games do not look that much worse than similar PS4 games.
For me it depends on the game FPS, Racing Games for example i find to be way better on the console plus its a lot easier to snipe on a 65" vs 25", where as a MMO or RPG i find works better on the pc at a desk. Console games are also more social, for example if i'm playing BF4 in the living room and you got a friend over it easy to just switch each death by passing the controller and everyone uses the controller the same way no key binding or game pads. Although with I think the graphics are better on my pc then xbone on BF4, but the pc doesn't have the same ease of match making you have on most console games. I'll tell you what though the best thing about the xbone is the automation features i just run my cable and everything through it and use hand and voice commands no need to find the remote very convenient. I didn't think i would like it at first now i get pissed at netflix because they removed the hand gestures from their app. In the end it all depends on the game, but the best option is to have both available.

My biggest issue with consoles is that there's a serious lack of fun games to play on it. Sure, Nintentdo had the platformer starring a legendary monkey which was great. The PS has an awesome stealth series featuring a raccoon, a turtle and a pig and an action series with a space rabbit and a robot with an attitude problem, but that's basically it. I'm not interested in all the CoD and FPS clones out there, no matter how good they look. It's hard not to name these games, but I hope these descriptions will be enough for people to know which games I'm talking about
The only games I'm really interested in are RPGs and with that come certain MMOs I enjoy. Then there's the occasional good platformer but those are rare on any platform out there. Perhaps a racing game or really good sniper game in a WWII setting. So I'm pretty much stuck with a PC for gaming, which is fine with me. I have a controller, but 9/10 games play more fluent and responsive using the keyboard and mouse.
I think there's a glut of games, and too many just weaken the fun of them all. I don't do first-person multiplayer games, and shooting games of "real life" are boring and sick, IMO. Killing monsters is one thing, but humans, even in play, is wrong.
I much prefer sitting in my recliner with a controller instead of at a desk with a keyboard as a matter of comfort. Plus, my console is hooked up to my big tv, not a desk monitor.

The quality is negligible in my view, and not even close to worth a whole new system, esp. with no backwards compatibility. That's just wrong.

I find that the control options have the most impact on whether I will play on a console or a PC:
Fighting games, J-RPGs, horizontal/vertical shooters, and platformers I prefer to play with a gamepad on a console.
Western RPGs, flight sims, RTSs, and Diablo-like isometric games I prefer to use a mouse and keyboard on a PC.
FPSs I *would* play on a console if they offered keyboard + mouse as a control option.

The first console to make people turn 360 deg and walk away?

Graphics of the most modern consoles where already out of date at their release. Just look, what a medicore PC can do.
Consoles usually require the dumbing down of things.
