Will you PLEASE PLEASE, do something about these people who are conspiring to kick others from the Shores skirmish when there is a ring/neck drop!!!!! Its becoming a commonplace thing and has cheated COUNTLESS people from their rightful chance at the drop. Enough is enough!
Do people genuinely kick others in order to get this stuff? lol they must be so poor if they are willing to act like scum so they can earn a few thousand AD lmfao.
We are being hopeful that part of the Mod 5 update will include at least a "group vote" option that requires ALL other members to vote to kick before the kick is allowed to happen.

Vote kick should be implemented in every skirmish, not just this one.
As for this very problem, that might help, but it won't solve the actual problem. Kicking should be disabled once the end boss fight starts, and stay that way, unless the group wipes.

This actually happened to me in the last few days.... and the catch... i didn't even get a chance to choose need or greed... i got kicked before...
with all the problems that we have they come with "the poking stick" ,so I dont think thats a priority in the agenda to solve this problem any time soon
Maybe they want us to use the "the poking stick" to solve the problems
you poke the problem,problem gone
or "the poking stick" have other use,I don't know

Pretty childish, immature, and frankly... greedy.
I wish I could get rid of all of the reward options, they appear right in the middle top of screen totally in the way. Tried adjusting the HUD, but it does no good.
Some people have no lives methinks. Very sad overall. One of the main reasons I play is to play with others from around the world, just because it's cool to have the world on my desktop.

So what if it a "Greed run" and one player need, how are we going to be able to stop that player if we cant kick them?
But I agree with you guys, same **** has happened to me before, and the devs need to implement a system that protect all the players, wont be easy, but it not impossible.

I agree.. on all your statements.
I've met some really cool people... that I would not generally have met.. and feel better for it.

Well, what do you lose if you kick someone in a pug? Maybe you get ignored by four players, but modern MMOs are not about the community anymore anyways.
I remember times in onlinegames, where you could basically restart on another server if you did something like that.
That besides the point, you don't create a system to prevent just 1 type of accident, you create a system to prevent all harms that can be done.
Everyone can need belt doesn't mean all items can be need, and creating a system based of what you just said is going to bring a lot of problem, what if not everyone can need on the items?
Fix #1: Any loot that is dropped in the instance should be available for everyone to roll on, even if they are in PE or out of the instance, or even out of the group. If you helped it drop, you get a shot.
Fix #2: Move the end chest rewards to a single spot in either PE, or the zone that you exit in to after the instance is done. People kicking you to stop you from getting your chest is resolved.
Fix #3: Any time the vote option is available, it should require a majority vote. Not voting = no.
Potential fix 4: You are only allowed to kick X number of times before it goes on cooldown. Honestly, most people NEVER have to kick people. If you are doing it more than 1-2 times a month, you are using it wrong.
Thieves and ninjas are out there, but this is the only game I've seen where you can literally see an item drop, and if you are the leader, just kick everyone else before the roll and take the item. There has got to be a better way, and the above I think does it. Justifying keeping the system the same because of that really rare instance when someone actually wants to steal something (as opposed to not knowing the loot rules or the 52 different scenarios when you should roll greed or need...)is wrong.
Course, if people just did the obvious thing and use the actual system the game put in place to decide loot, this wouldn't be much of an issue (this need run, greed run thing is stupid IMO - the game already decided who has a shot at the loot, why do it a second time?)

Just remove rollable drops and gate everything through token purchase and chests, there problem solved, everyone gets something, none can ninja, no one gets kicked because of loot.
And please don't bring me the old "ahhhh but this is D&D, where's the dice rolling spirit" as I will kindly reply to go back to tabletop and realize that MMOs are a very different beast than your pen and paper sessions with your close friends that you do once a week.

This topic has been beaten to death, and still no fix has been implemented. I doubt cryptic cares, but the general suggestion is;
Two modes of play. Normal need and greed, and another mode that's greed only runs. Then you disable kicking after the boss fight starts until loot is distributed or the battle resets.
This way greed runs will not have a need option, so there would be no reason to kick during loot rolls.

100% agree with everything you just said! easy fix make greed runs only, and need runs only loot settings and all problems disappear.
Why couldnt we get responses like this more often, rather than get responses of others trying to put someone else down?
Did they really kick during loot rolling even in Shores now? Those rings and neckies don't really worth too much.
AFAIK, loot kicks usually happen in T2 or higher dungeons when one or two random people join the queue with a group of 3 or 4. The group will kick the random at the final boss or when an occasional decent loot drop at mini bosses. The other scenario is when somebody choose need at loot roll while somebody expects greed.
IMO, the need or greed kicks are uncalled for in a random queue since need is the default option and every player should abide to it unless otherwise specified before the loot roll. Although I always choose greed and I always queue solo, I don't vote kick players who choose need if nobody asked for greed before the roll.
As for the intentional kicks from premade partial groups, that really should be considered abnormal and disruptive behaviors and should be bannable if they are found repeatedly doing the same kicks at loot rolling, but the best solution is still to have no kicks at all at boss until loot rolling is completed.
Vote kick should be implemented in every skirmish, not just this one.

Should ... could ...
We won't see that. They could just as well give every participant the same stuff, or put some stuff into someone's box, everything possible!
It is intended to create emotions, luck, excitement. All this leads to sooner or later to a tighter bonding to the game, and possibly the purchase of Z. So, I do not think that we are going to see anything while enough people queue again and again after being kicked again and again. It's just not worth it. The problem is know since the introduction of the vote kick system a year ago, and nothing has happened so far.
Imaginary Friends are the best friends you can have!
The ring doesn't drop in the boss fight in SoT (not that I've seen anyway), it drops after the "ambush" part way through.
Kicking,or even starting a vote to kick, should be disallowed if any member has aggro (the blue circle under you). And it should be disallowed if any item happens to be "in process" - that is, someone has picked it up and it's waiting for people to Need/Greed/Pass. Finally, it should be disabled once the DD objectives are met (aka, the boss is dead). This last one wouldn't work on Mad Dragon or SP, since the objectives require you to blow something up after the boss is dead, bit it would resolve the issue on every other DD.
This wouldn't stop the SoT kick problem completely either, since if no one tries to pick up the ring, it's possible for a 3-person group to kick the other two if they act fast.
Still. It would be a solid start.
Having said that -- I run with my guild pretty much exclusively, so I've never actually had this happen to me and I've played this game since pre-beta. I've pugged, so I suppose I've been lucky in that regard.
Well, just happened to me for the first time. Purple item drops, several people roll on the item. Then I find myself zoning out of the instance. They need to find some way to fix this, or at least give me a message on who kicked me, so that I can report them. I'd hate to have to start writing down the team lead name every time I enter one of these things. ( Assuming they actually do anything to these people )
Yeah just as Breyer's book/tome got dropped i got kicked out of Elol... Cryptic/PWE this really has to stop... U guys put so many modules and do server maintenance every week, but don't implement something for this persisting cheats who kick others out at the loot drop.... You guys are gonna kill this great game if this keeps going on.... and oh, of course glitches EVERYTIME you make class/feat changes, DCs and HRs are invincible in pvp...lol and you call that class balance!!!! lmfao
Adding "vote kick" didn't help much . I've been kicked twice already from pug eSOT , even once when i was group leader . It shouldn't be allowed to kick anyone after last boss is killed , right now its so easy to abuse system by scum players
As has been stated in many similar threads, if you suspect someone is abusing the vote kick feature, please report it using the ingame supprt or the website. Do not discuss it on the forums.

Everyone can "need" a belt, so no problem there.
Also, a new "Want/Don't Want" loot system could be implemented.
