Well since this game is evolving, I was thinking what about some new combat animations related to critical kills or deaths.
Some games that have these still linger in my mind - just because of that.
For example you critically kill a dragon and your let say GWF climbs up and sticks his sword through the dragon head or cuts it off.
Or dragon critically kills you and he chews half of your body - while the rest falls to the ground...
In old games I've seen so many critical deaths that I could write the book, still my number 1 was when I was playing GF and used defend with cracked shield - the enemy cut off my arm with the shield and I was instantly dead... lol....
This would maybe change the violence rating or not depending on the level of brutality. I don't think NW is for brutality - but it would be cool if there would be some non bloody critical kill/death animations.
This isn't skyrim, finishing movie animations are just an excuse for clunky combat, this game doesn't need them.
Yeah I was about to say the same , it sounds good on paper but once you have sat through the 'kill' animation 500 times you feel like punching the monitor , I absolutely adore Skyrim but the annoying dragon kill moves were one of the few things I disliked .
Sounds like a recipe for annoyance, desyncing and clipping.
Go back to the Witchers or some similar singleplayer.

I was referring to the "old" games, but nwm... If you want reference how it works in recent games then check out Dragon age ... you just cut through enemies like in NW with enemies dying in various animation while you go on about your business. (I used the dragon for example).
I see your point for longer animations as NW is all about repetition and farming.
Well Have fun in NW.
P.S.
I don't play skyrim or any game from Bethesda junkers it's a matter of principle. O and unfortunately you will be seeing me here for a long time, since I play NW from open beta and I will play it until I can use my hands or until they shut down the game.
Well we have to watch one million times the one and same "Riiiiiiiise Vilithrax" cinematics for the mod4 grind campaign. And there are dedicated cinematics that include your own char, like when you unlock the doors in Witch Fen.
So why not some kill-cams like in Counterstrike?
i like the idea of a few new death animationa. i really like thw ragdoll system and that some warlock skills are desintegrate the enemys.
Lol really? I haven't seen that yet xD I don't mind special death animations that can be added so as not to interfere with the flow of gameplay like I imagine the Warlock skills you mention probably do but a special cutscene every time you kill a dragon or elite or whatever is too much.
Ice/Frozen
If any Monster is under controll by an ice effect (CC) and die from an damage source while under this effect it is shattered in pieces of ice.
Holy Power
If a cleric kills an undead or demon with his encounter powers the monster is desintegrated while glowing golden or blue. (Best example is the first Cinematic Trailer of Neverwinter in which the cleric burns the undead away)
Monster Death/Critical Hit
Mechanical Golems
If an mechanical Golem dies he moulders in his parts (helmet, gauntlet, etc.) similar to the death animation of an skeleton.
Other Golem-Types
Golemtype Monsters that has no Death-Skill like the exploding Ice Golems are shattered in their elemental parts (small pieces of stone, lava, etc.)
Sound
Big Attacks like from GWFs that kills an human/living monster with a critical hit it causes a bone shattering sound additonal to the raggdoll animation. Example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k3EUprslmyw
That are only some small suggestions. I know the Devs have limited ressources and possibilitys but it would be pretty cool if we got more feedback of our hits.
Platypus wielding a giant hammer, your argument is invalild!
