Can't stay slogged on for more than 3 mins...

I've checked the dev tracker and face book page and nothing that says what's going on and when / if it will be fixed. What's going on here? It's been like this since around noon est. When I do log on I see people complaining about the same issues so I know it's not just me. Where's the word from the Devs on this? They take the day off?

    If it's affecting East Coast servers it's definitely not an earthquake. Anything above a 2.x here is rare in the extreme (that 5 we had a couple of years ago is something we won't see for another hundred years). The ground here isn't faulted like on the west coast and we aren't near any plate boundaries. Also, because this topography was formed when the continents smashed together to form Pangaea, the underlying ground is packed like an iron plate. It has a tendency to stay where you left it. It's also why, when there is a 5.x earthquake in Virginia, people feel it all the way up in Montreal (here in Philly we were rocking and rolling!)

    Saw that thread was hoping to get a response from a dev. For a weekend it seems silly for them not to let us know what's going on in the dev tracker at the very least.

    3 mins? I cannot even stay 1 min into the game :D I'm like wtf right now :D

    kinda pathetic that its gone on this long on a weekend during prime playing hours.

    It's gotten to the point that I decided not to log in until later which is disappointing. I was hoping to play a little before 5. For thirty minutes, it's log on, move a few feet, disconnected, rinse and repeat. I live in central US so I doubt it's an earthquake or other major storm. The Gateway is still down, and I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it.

    It is affecting everyone. I am in the UK, and I tried changing to the EU Proxy Server and I could not even connect.

    I did a full FORCE VERIFY and it did not help.

    It has been claimed that it is a deliberate Denial Of Service attack from Bot Farmers due to Refining Stones dropping from enchants being made BOA.

    All I know is that it took me more than THREE HOURS just to do Professions with 14 characters and try to move stuff around via my Shared Bank Slots.

    SERVER NOT RESPONDING error message comes up every few minutes. Sometimes, you get disconnected as well.

    It just happened when I was talking to Rhix, but I could not see the message as the screen just froze.

    What can be done, as the game is completely unplayable at the moment?

    I can't complete anything, I freeze and then either die or DC. This is getting ridiculous. I have to pay to use a computer cause mine doesn't work right now.

    I'd say any type of attack would be deliberate. I'm not aware of any accidental DDoS attacks :)

    There is a sticky top of general area about server instability. They think its fixed but are monitoring that thread.
    12:30 am eastern here and the server is acting up again. can't stay logged in for more than about 3 minutes
