Black Ice Main Weapon, Black Ice Gloves/Bracers

The system is rigged for these final set pieces to be so extremely rare it's absurd.

I am NOT talking about the first one you get. The system makes it easy and fast to get the bracers first or the weapon first. But it's after getting the first one that the last one won't drop.

Your characters will have all black ice gear pieces except the last one from either beholder or remo, and it won't drop.

I have six characters. All six have every black ice piece except the last one.

all my characters have the same story to tell. they all got the first remo or beholder piece right away, it dropped fast and easy. but none can get the last one. as example, my TR just needs the mainhand weapon from beholder. TR has done about 100 beholders and nothing.

same story for all other characters.

the game is rigged, coded for this to happen, and then what do i see in the store? for $15 you can now BUY that last piece...

what a ripoff to rig the game and make players go through all this not knowing it's been rigged against them.

Without super rare drops people would run through the limited content too fast and get bored. Repeating the same dungeons over and over here equals "tons of content".

Not if you save up ADs, reading news and saving; will always lead to a good result.
I got the news for Shadow Wolf before it goes live and I estimated it'll be 3-4k zen I save up for 1week and when its live, I bought 1 :D

Uhm idk, I'm playing a SW atm and I got the MH in my first day in IWD then 6 days later I got the gloves, not even farming just doing dailies and a 3-5 HE here and there, haven't done the first beholder/remorhaz with this char yet, maybe just luck.

If player can't make visible progress to a very hard to get item they want, the player become very hard to get the the devs and gaming company. The drop rates of Covalent Wards is higher than the effective drop rate of the BI Gaunlets and Main Weapon.

If the RNG is against you eventually, you will give up. And that's no good for anyone.

Yes. You've been very lucky. Other have done hundreds of HE in IWD and gotten nothing, myself included.

    My main - nothing.
Two other alts - the big zero.
My GF alt - got the main hand on his first trip to DV- "Oh, BIB is up! Might as well stop in while I'm doing the intro quest!". A dozen HE's later got the gauntlets in IWP. *grumble*

Well, in that case, I just go to every HE as soon as I receive the notification in the minimap and I try to finish them asap before more people arrive, max 2-3 in a 3-5 HE, if there's too much people the % to get good items will go down, I've found much more rewarding to farm fresh 3-5 HE than waiting for Remorhaz/Beholder, also don't die (don't let the SF proc) because it looks like everything you have done in the HE is reset , I hope this helps, worked good for my GWF, SW and some friends. GL.

So getting the gear is intended to be like enduring Greek Hell? What, did roving bands of players kill the devs' parents or something?

That happens a lot actually. I've heard it over and over again and most recently it happened to a guildmate.

I happened to me once. On HR char that I don't play and don't really plan to. But Got there to Remo fight in pvp gear. Hit him once or twice. Got bracers. Forgot about them since they are salvaged into BI rather then AD.
After month or so I tied to grind it on main HR. 2 Month useless - More then 1000 Majors and huge amount of Epics. Had to buy from pack since can not transfer.

Super rare drops like how they set up the black ice weapon don't keep players in the game because fast drops make content go by too fast. These super rare drops make people quit because after literally months of farming every single day, hours upon hours, you have literally nothing to show for it....F that. People like me who dropped $100 on founders pack and have and would continue to have poured money into this game is driven away from stuff like this. Me, my wife, and cousin haven't logged in for months and I promise thats cost this game allot of money because there are plenty of dedicated guys like me who would throw down $10 a week or two on this game like when I first played. Now, your lucky if I log in. Guild of over 200 members and its pretty much dead because of HAMSTER like this. They should have kept it in zen shop, I would give anything to have been able to pay $15 for my black ice weapon, ANYTHING. Looks like I will continue to not play until they get their act together. No professional or serious programmer looks at how they set this up and thinks that its okay in any way, I promise this was done intentionally and for all the wrong reasons. Ive farmed for months in WoW and am no stranger to farming, but this is out of control.
