MofF Level 50 Choices?

Just got to 50, and I want to make the right choice of powers, so who likes what and why? ESofTA, the encounter? Immolation, the daily? Or the passive choice?

Don't really want to choose another encounter, have too many good ones already I can't use w/o sacrificing another. The same with dailies, already have two, but the passive choice doesn't look that great.

So I'm curious to see what others think.

Shard is terrible. (Used to be the hardest hitting encounter in the entire game of all classes combined but they literally took a dump on it damage wise).

Furious Immolation is terrible unless feated

Go with Eye of The Storm as priority.

    Or... even better.

Get a re-spec token and pick a proper paragon (Hint: Spellstorm).

Ha ha, I started with a SS and switched to MofF, which is rare for me. I love ice and lightning, but here, fire and ice is more fun. Y, I think I'll just boost a lower power and forget all of those lvl 50 choices. Too bad, FI looks like it might look cool.

I tried to practice them all on preview, but my char there isn't at my current level. I don't know why not.

Re-Copy it again, and it'll update.

Furious Immolation has a target limit of 8, which is too bad. Feated FI is good with that daze.

You need to max the MoF paragon passives (Yellow powers), for a lesser paragon they're actually pretty decent.

Once you hit 60 there is overflow EXP which gives you powerpoints, so you can actually max everything.

OK. I decided on going back to Combustive Action, and I like it. Other changes include,
I moved Icy Terrain to SM slot, and keep Steal Time in my bar even if I have no arcane stack boosts, it's such a good power.

Furious Immolation is the best control power for CWs, since now it has the same target cap as Arcane Singularity, but (a) is faster and (b) can be feated to daze the mobs. It is not at all "worthless".

They said "terrible," and it's different strokes. I want to see how it looks more than anything else right now. By level 60, I'll have had to have added it, the biggest flaw in the game to me is so many powers, many we're forced to choose to get the next tier, and others there isn't room for on the bar.

If you are MoF, you definitely must pick Furious Immolation. It is an upgrade to Arcane Singularity.

All three options at level 50 are must-haves.

They have nerfed shard a lot - damage wise. It is still excellent control for when you make huge pulls (something i like to do).

Furious immolation does good damage, gathers all the mobs, and has a fast cast time - on top of that it adds smolder to _everything_ - so excellent. Downside is target cap 8, so when you are facing 8 or less, this is your choice for sure.

Swath of destruction means THE WHOLE TEAM does 15% more damage to EVERYTHING with smolder (which should be everything). It is almost as good as the HV set (which has an effective uptime of two stacks).

AS for features, 99.9% of the time it's critical conflagration and swath of destruction. SoD is way too much damage, and CC helps you smolder everything. Many people love CA for the daily spam (which could be useful) but i've never logged a MoF apply smolder well without CC and SoD is a huge team buff.

I skipped icy rays when leveling, then took it first thing after 60. You'll get more power points fast enough.

    Hope that helps, - Chem

I don't see that in the description of damage. AS starts out higher, and they both have 10% bumps, so where is your figuring coming from?

Thanks. I do like the CA action point gain, and I want to see FI and SofEA at least to see what they look like, so I'll be choosing them soon enough, as you say by lvl 60 I'll have to have due to other options already filled out. I still just wish we could have more power slots to use, at least for the encounters. I'd give up one at-will spot no problem, but RofF is my go-to. Sure want to see what Icy Rays looks like too. If damage is close, I like the coolest-looking powers, and I like the 'cool', ice powers, pun intended.

OK, ESofTA is OK looking, weird to make work. Immolation Flame is OK, though it's too fast of an effect. Should be a pillar of flame for a couple of seconds.

the gather effect of FI is the key thing - and the speed is a serious bonus.

Shard takes a lot of practice to get right, but can be effective if you use it well. IT does need to get some of its damage back though.

Yeah, FI grabs em fast and groups them up nicely. By following up with chills you get rimefire going.
Boulder does look like it takes practice. Fortunately, you can play with it outside of battle to get the basics down. Going to do that later and then see how it smacks enemies around. Since it is a lot of work to get right, damage should be very high.
Lately, I've been scoring in the middle on dungeon damage in parties, and last night, for the first time, I actually got the 1 spot in damage, while being 5 (last) for healing potions, as it should be. CWs are not tanks, and AofE should give them incredible damage. I can't last in melee at all and movement bites, no matter my boost, so I don't use it anymore. If too many mob me, trying to run is suicide, even teleport is bogus, there's rarely any escape if they're focused on me.
