The lying stupid tooltip doesn't mention that you'll likely almost always get chaotic growth. The lying stupid tooltip says 20% to gain combat advantage, but is around 5%.
Course thaum will out-dps. Cause there are no damage buffs other than buffs to steal time and ray of lameness.

In Mod 5, renegade personal DPS is only 5-10% less than thaum personal DPS. This means renegades might increase team DPS more than a thaum would.
Don't listen to these detractors either, i've seen some incredibly effective renegades. With the right build it's possible you could do more damage, but would require a lot of very specific artifacts and pets.

Agreed In the past, before the renegade nerf I always ran renegade, now with a buff to renegade I will probably end up respeccing come mod 5 back to renegade. I find I enjoy the renegade path more.

You know, if your playstyle is more like a renegade, you could take the 5-10% dps loss but play it really well and be MORE effective. I always think playstyle, gear, and spec have to be in synergy. If we are worrying about less than 10% your style and fit make up for more than 10% of performance.
Renegade is on par with thaum right now.
It's just that unlike thaum, you have a lot of party buffs and those will make you look worse than with thaum.

I was wondering if we have a specific Discussion Thread to report our comments/suggestions for Mod 5 to Devs (a kind of "CW Class Advocate Feedback" thread) but it seems not.
to the "Official Feedback Thread: Other Balance Changes" but I'm afraid this Thread is so much bombarded with all kind of comments that Devs will simply ignore CW's feedbacks as lost from the mass...
So, my question is : Is one of you already managing a kind of "CW Class Advocate Feeback", or could create one ? (if you know the moderators of this NW Forum)... Would be nice, and I hope this is not too late for Mod5 release. I have the filling that Devs are looking to reduce in some ways the overall CW's DPS (by reducing SS & Assailant procs) as a tentative to better balance Control vs DPS but without really letting us to choose between those paths.
@ topic: I've never forsaken my renegade. I went all crit, cha, combat adv. pets and artefacts. Rebuilding would prolly result in me quitting the game, so I'm happy to see renegades are getting some love. Arcane spells also deserve some love. And there is nothing better to utilise them then renegade tree. Please, just freaking please! Also Nightmare Wizardry proc chance should be higher. Plus I almost never see phantasmal destruction nowadays. There's still much work to do, to make renegades competitive.
Bids he then the spruces to singer him an anthems!
And the Woodsie Lord binders them fleshes to stone!

Ezra is our class advocate, he's doing a good job and working hard behind the scenes. I'd recommend talking to him.

My tests on preview makes me feel optimistic about renegades, especially if you adjust your playstyle and boost your CA damage, the way you did.
