Today i was in Castle Never - the longest dungeon available.

After quite a lot of time and replacing 3 out of the 5 initial members at the last boss(all left by their will), we finally manged to kill it.

Then the chest appeared and when i opened it(i was the last to do it), i was presented with a choice of 3 gauntlets and some other loot.

While checking their specs and trying to decide wich one to choose, 1 of the group left the party, so we were all booted from the dungeon.

In the end after more than a hour in this dungeon, i got nothing - due to bad luck i didn't get any epic item from drops and then in the end i couldn't even get my guaranteed loot, because of some strange game mechanic.

Why this even exists?

I haven't experienced this in any other dungeon before that. Is this some new "feature"?

Probably around 1h 40-50mins - for sure less than 2h and at least 1h and 30 min....Can't remember the exact time we entered as i forgot everything because of the rage i felt when i saw myself in PE and with no loot.......

When the leader leaves another member of the party should be given lead , if this happened like you say it did then it must be a bug , make a thread in the bug reporting forum.

All of the above is incorrect. I can tell you what happened...

You said you were in CN, grabbing your chest. You were probably standing near the portal since it's right next to the chest. In CN you have to activate the portal and the party gets transported out all together - you cannot just leave by yourself.(Unless you do "right-click portrait->leave party" of course) Not sure why is it like that but it is...
Someone in your party activated the portal, the countdown "activating in 5.. 4.. etc" started and since you were on the loot screen you didn't see it. So you were essentially in the wrong place at the wrong time. Nobody kicked you; it was just an unfortunate coincidence. Sorry about your luck. :(

The chest @ CN is indeed very near to the portal when activated.

vtmasquerade, you might be right, as i heard the sound when s'one is trying to activate such place, but can't remember hearing the countdown and definitely didn't see it.....

If this is truly the case, then this is just awful design and needs to be changed - moving the chest or the portal few meters away is just a few mins work.....There is no need to punish the players and leave them frustrated, because of such level design flaws.....

Because of this, probably i'll never go to Castle Never(lol) again, as every time i'll remember my totally wasted 1.5-2h and i'll fear that the same thing can happen again......

Yea years ago when I used to run this I saw this happen too.

It's due to the very poor positioning of the chest and portal.

Workaround: Loot from the farthest position of the portal - you will be outside of the bubble just barely.

And yea I think if everyone leaves before a dungeon is complete, you will get auto booted. it is a poor design.

However after a dungeon is complete, if everyone leaves the party it does allow you to stay in. Tested last night doing my first run kessels r- hung out a while to look around after we completed - stayed in. (skirmish, but should be same mechanics). Though I was the party lead, not sure if that affects it.
