CW is still the only capable counter to the classes listed. GWF can be bursted low prior to unstoppable, HR's absolutely cannot be killed without a CW, and GF's can still be hamstrung by capable CW's all in PvP. DC's die to CW even without glyphs, it's about timing control abilities.
Hr's are already on the road to being fixed. There's no reason why these glyphs must continue to be this way.
Trust me, at BiS levels of gear and good skill, a CWs damage is inadequate to burn 50-60K HP PvPers (alone). Only good as full support. With reds, a CW is still at disadvantage. Ice Knife is not reliable. Will it crit? Will it be deflected?

I'm quite tired of CW being good only as support. The class should be able to 1vs1 successfully any class in the game. Now, when I asked her to wear Black Ice gear and red glyphs which is the FOTM atm, I won maybe 1:15, out of what I consider pure luck, and her setup is not even optimized for that gear.
This is no longer acceptable in any shape or form.

The problem with this is that in an MMO some classes are naturally better at group combat and some are naturally better at 1v1 combat. And I'm not sure how many MMOs you've played but plenty of people prefer support to DPS. In fact in other MMOs where the content is harder and requires support play that's what I generally prefer to play for groups.
Having each class with a 50/50 chance of winning any 1v1 encounter is a pipe dream. It will never happen, as it basically requires all classes to have the exact same strengths and weaknesses just with different special effects.

I come from WoW, where I did progression raiding for 3 expansions and later on PvP on my Mage. I didn't play other MMOs outside of trying.
50% is a GOAL. It's not a MUST. It's something you should look up to as a developer IMO. It's also possible, as I just described that RG HR vs CW is balanced, of course not 50% exactly, but it's OK, each player can win.
However, this being a 5vs5 game mostly, it is OK that some classes have SLIGHT advantages over the others, to allow for rotations and strategy.
But in these game, the advantages are usually painfully obvious. FOTM HR is better than everything else. I still have Mod 3 gear on mine and I can derp in 1 vs 2-4 situations most of the time. FOTM GWF can 2 shot almost all classes. GF can almost fall asleep on Shift and still kill a CW.
So you see, we cannot have the CW in a place where it falls 1vs1 so easily. CW needs to be able to hold their own 1v1 properly, if they spec for it.
I hope U`re not saying WoW was balanced ? I will just mention DK introduction and free gladiator status on that arena season. Also this game is oriented pvp wise 5vs5, so what U`re saying is make CW, best at group fights as it does CC, being ranged and quite alot of dps, lets make him 1vs1 duelist too ?

You cant add new content witch kills or makes obsolete you other content, for exsample PvP set. Who in their right minds will go for it (and will actually feel punished) when there are Red glyphs now around making it unusable. Relying on a broken item for balance is bad.

WoW is incredibly more balanced than this game, but it has more time to develop. My Mage was quite adept at duels, 2vs2, 3vs3, didn't go to 5vs5.
As for glyphs and class balance, I don't trust the devs to make my classes balanced. From CW being OP, they relegated back to support instead of balancing it slightly, and they are nerfing it even further. I fear the HR nerfs are just the start as well and they will botch the class completely.

Dude, we have no relevant CC in PvP when it matters. 0 CC against GF, GWF, out-CCed by HR, no CC vs TR either. There has to be some balance with both CC and DPS (not as much as the SW). SW needs CC too or its useless in PvP.
CW has only been truly good for PvE. Were always support for PvP besides 3-4 weeks at the start of M4.

Glyphs are "fixed" now. You can dodge, deflect, block, DR them. They also respect debuffs on target... I have seen hits ranging from 30 to 640 or so from Reds. When you are Ray of Frosting some unfortunate proned/CCed dude, most hits are about 350-500.
They are not enough to kill a similarly geared good GWF, GF or HR alone.
Red glyphs have to go, a control wizard can handle himself with oppressive force and built correctly. gf with knee breaker, tr,cw, and hr all really have the edge in pvp with cw and hr being at the top with red glyphs. the truth is that they have purposely giving classes that do a lot of dot or fast hits over time the advantage. And dont forget red glyphs now benefit from armor pen so overall they hit harder now. If red glyphs should go without icd then blue glyphs should go with icd so we can completely ruin pvp. Hrs and cw were the ones that hated blue glyphs the most but now they are the one that love it the most. Trs hated all of them ahahha. Red glyphs have to get an icd.

No, CWs are well aware of this. We're also aware that GFs are able to turn around faster than CWs can finish their CC effects, and that teleporting behind a GF will deposit a CW in a primo spot for a GF to Bull Charge. There is simply no way for a CW to win on a node against a half-competent GF.
If they'd un-break block so that chill could stack through block again, the match-up would be a little more fair. Unfortunately, bad GFs were always whining about that. Now they get to be baddies and just keep blocking forever with no way to be punished for it. Good GFs could always destroy CWs anyway, now there's virtually no chance for an inexperienced/bad CW against a GF that's actually good.

As long as we're not nerfed and there's some balancing to the GR/GF/GWF, we'd be fine. But we are gonna be nerfed significantly and the other mentioned classes are not receiving the same treatment, not to mention the TR which will reign supreme. So for mod 5, CW is in need of some type of buffing, or we in a very bad place - solely from a PvP premade perspective.
Thing is, now CW cannot use shard anymore, so it's impossible to even overcome class weaknesses with skill, all we have is some ****ty point&click no damage encounters with nerfed procs.
As for GFvsCW, if they are both good, CW should avoid 1vs1 at all costs, just as it's the case vs the HR. The chance to win is incredibly small. GF hits very hard, has a finisher, is immune to CC 99% of the time, has almost perma block, has huge HP pool (60K+), has reflect damage that activates Tenebrous.
All in all, I think a GF, if they chose to, can kill a CW solely by throwing some low damage CC such as FLS from time to time and let the CW kill themselves with tene procs.

Top CWs can kill mediocre GFs. Top CWs cannot touch top GFs. This needs to be changed.
I was not saying CW`s in general are like that, not I would pre-judge people on what class they play. We still won 4vs5 even though his ego was hurt, since he died once or twice, and here he was talking down on ppl acting all mature, representing poor CW in need.
Second, it is not true that GF vs CW = GF wins. My GF was killed in such a way by CW even I was impresed with such ease and elegance he killed me. Shard on tab, landed on me even while I was moving, and that cant be blocked. That was all she wrote, I could only watch my character goes from full to dead while not being able to do anything.

Shard on Mastery is no longer viable (sadly). It does abolut 2K crit damage on geared PvPers, much less than a single Storm Spell proc that takes 0 skill to land. There is no top PvP CW playing with Shard any longer. I do agree though it's marginally useful against GF - if you can land it - but the fact that they can block Icy Rays and Entangle makes the combo null.

I was so against the glyphs, I didn't PvP almost at all until they got "fixed" and when I did, I used BI overloads. But people got tankier in the meantime, and glyphs got nerfed. CW damage is only dangerous when you let them freecast, so basically just against squishies and CCed targets. If you put some GWF/HR/GF etc. on the CW, his danger-level will decrease 90%.

And keep in mind, in a few weeks, further CW nerf will come Live. I ain't gonna see this class as a glorified punching bag that it used to be.

GWF stun and prone you to death? What? GWF in PVP will have 1 stun on a 17 odd second cooldown. The only prone they might have in pvp is a DAILY that can still be dodged.
Yes CW control is good, they open with control / DC sigil / bust your health down below 50% with the red glyph rolling and ice knife. It's quite reliable.

- can you kill good GFs with your CW? Keep in mind, the issues of CWvsGF arise only when the GF is a good player. I can kill average GFs with my CW. I cannot kill GFs at my skill and gear level.
- Red Glyphs are not even enough for a CW to kill good GF/GWF/HR. They are not turning the class into god-mode. They are just allowing some nicer stat distribution and provide some damage.
- if the glyphs are broken and to be nerfed badly or even removed, I want to see suggestions on how to improve the class that will suffer without them, as in, the CW.
I was so against the glyphs, I didn't PvP almost at all until they got "fixed" and when I did, I used BI overloads. But people got tankier in the meantime, and glyphs got nerfed. CW damage is only dangerous when you let them freecast, so basically just against squishies and CCed targets. If you put some GWF/HR/GF etc. on the CW, his danger-level will decrease 90%.
Things changed.
And keep in mind, in a few weeks, further CW nerf will come Live. I ain't gonna see this class as a glorified punching bag that it used to be.

In mod1-2-3 the CWs were nothing more than target practice for other classes.
At the release of mod4 there was a few weeks window when CWs were good until nerfed assailing force and other things.
Tell that to yourself after a GF/GWF prone/stun lock to the death or a HR root/prone you to the death!
GWF stun and prone you to death? What? GWF in PVP will have 1 stun on a 17 odd second cooldown. The only prone they might have in pvp is a DAILY that can still be dodged.
Yes CW control is good, they open with control / DC sigil / bust your health down below 50% with the red glyph rolling and ice knife. It's quite reliable.
