I was hoping you'd have Battlefield medic usable in sword coast adventures i guess i need to wait until next thursday to use it AT least he has dice now (that can't be used).
i'm facing the deity issue. 2/5 of my characters are invoking to a different deity than the other 3. 1 of these 2 invokes w/o an issue but the other can't. the symbol lights up. but can't seem to invoke at all. sent a ticket in. hope it get's fixed soon
Oh, I didn't know the battlefield medic couldn't be used in sword coast adventures. Darn, he's the only purple companion I have lol. Hopefully they'll fix that soon.
What I always find a bit problematic (and what I believe is the reason why here haven't been patch notes for a while) is this "But what about xy?" and "Why is yz still not fixed?".
If you imagine yourself being in the situation of our devs and constantly facing the issue that what you've done is mostly not appreciated but you instead get "bashed" for what you've not done...well, I personally think this must be pretty frustrating and annoying in some way.
I think it would be nice and fair in future posts to keep the content related to the actual patch and not to what have not been done so far.
On that note, nice little patch and keep up the good work.

While I agree 100% with this, I have to ask - Are you new here? the patch notes threads ALWAYS turn into a "Why didn't you fix this" conversation. Some people would complain about having to pay taxes after hitting the lottery.

If they actually admitted to things being Bugs or not working as Intended and KEPT THEM IN A KNOWN BUGS thread then people could check what was fixed each week. The Biggest problem that I have is they do not List everything in the patch just the Highlights. I learn more from the Preview Server Threads about patches than I Do from the actual bare bones patch notes. The little things like MOB balancing, drop rate tweaks, changes to loot tables would not be the issue they are if they WOULD JUST LIST THEM even without details on how they were actually tweaked.
No, a "known bugs" thread would only add fuel to the fire.
"But, THIS bug has been known about for weeks! Why is there not a fix yet?"
"You fixed THIS bug but not THAT bug which is much older! Do you not care about priorities?"
And so on, and so forth. The problem with bug fixing is that it is prioritized and changes quite often, and one team may have a fix for something less complex than that of another team within the QA department. Also, not everything in a patch needs to be noted. Some of it may be such minor tweaks that it's not noted, and patch size is not indicative of what goes into a patch. Some patches are more than a couple of lines of code, after all, no matter how minor the notes may seem them to be.

That's true...but people get annoyed when bugs that have been reported over and over seem to be ignored, while seemingly minor issues get fixed. Of course, anyone with any experience in software maintenance knows that what seems like a minor bug may sometimes actually just be a small symptom of a bigger underlying issue that may take a long time to fix.....but still, seeing bugs remain for over a year is pretty annoying.

So that customer support can ban them for exploiting right?
So it is so much better to not acknowledge the fact that something is broken instead, that makes sense.
Pretending something isn't broken or Working as Intended or Hiding the fact that it has been acknowledged elsewhere in the forums does more harm that the minor amount of *****ing that would happen if they just listed bugs and not WAI Items and checked them off as they got fixed.
No one brought up patch size which to be honest wouldn't be affected by things like server side Loot tables or MOB tweaks. A Single line of Code change can actually effect several Thousand different lines of code, there is no such thing as a "SIMPLE" code fix. Database changes are perhaps the easiest fix unless you are changes several values that interact with different entries at different time. But that is neither here or there, a List of Items being Prioritized would at least show the player base that Items "ARE" being worked on and not the Silence that greets them when they ask on the forum or during a livestream to which they are responded to with Crickets.
Cryptic will not release internal information. Will. Not. Their priority list is one of those things that will not be released to the public because 1) that can change at literally a moment's notice and 2) would only lead to more flames as to "why this bug is a priority and not that one"

I've been getting a DX DEVICE REMOVED error on my AMD R9 290, which is only solved by turning off shadows and setting lighting to low. Does this mean I can turn that back up? Is there any way we can get details on what the "specific video cards" and lighting conditions were?

You have factions in your QA/QC teams and departments? Awesome! Hey, what division is there working tirelessly on those broke joke exploit of a dragon glyph that dosent seem to be going away anytime soon? Really, I want to get back into PVP! UNITE THE CLANS!! FIX THE GLYPHS! Of course, I dribbled something more on task concerning the instruments of whom use glyphs for lack of player skill (i.e. the only way they can win is to exploit/cheat) somewhere on that known issues thread.. sorry but I dont have a link, its somewhere in gameplay *I THINK*
Thanks for anything you do get done on resolving the interface windowed/fullscreen confusion and anything video. Maybe someday I can finally turn anti assailing on my 2x NV GeForce GTX 550 SLI system. Very much appreciated
