Did I understand correctly?
Greater Plague Fire Enchantment - +7.5% Fire damage. Burn for 2.5% damage per second for 3s and reduce def by 15%, can be stacked 3 times.
so it does a total of 45% defense reduction? O.o
My DC, although isn't used anymore since I like my cw since she became more in demand, uses a greater plague fire. People say that it's hard to get stacks up which is kind of true, but for bosses where it counts the most you should still manage to make the most out of it, unless someone else on the team has gpf. My hr has a terror and I never liked it. As a cw it was nice to have a gpf (my cw has a vorpal though) and someone with a terror on the team, but it's not something I liked to use myself since gpf out classes it a lot, though it is easier to maintain the debuff, especially as a DC. Hence why some DCs prefer it.
At the time plague fires were reasonably cheap to make compared to the other enchants, though now they're all pretty cheap compared to the price to make them.
Use punishing light to build 3 stacks within a second on bosses (also HP debuff)
On mobs - Daunting light followed by sunburst = 6% more damage alone from plaguefire on up to 5 mobs (add Daunting light and HP set bonus)

45% debuff stack on players, affecting their defense stat.
it's 3/6/9% damage bonus against mobs, however most people overestimate how many stacks they can maintain. It averages out to somewhere in the 4% range, but can varry mob to mob or fight to fight.
That said I would say GPF is good on just about everything and much cheaper than many enchants of similar quality.
so what would you recommend for a debuff instead? if you say so, terror wont make any difference then.
for pve im planning a DC debuffer
Terror and PF stack with each pother butnot with themselves so technically best for PVE is a party that has both. Honestly I end up using my Terror more often because the price on GPF makes it so common that there is one already in party.
