2 fantastic folks from Legit along with myself just tried it out. We timed out. You need 3 RARE drops, then put them into the alter. Which you cannot use while in combat. In an HE with infinitely respawning mobs. Being NEAR them puts you in combat. This all adds up to a huge convoluted mess that 3 elite adventurers couldn't finish.
Edit: I should be able those two to vouch for me if anyone desires.

Just a thought, spawns are normally not infinite and only respawn if you kill stuff. What if you had a GF or CW to run mobs far away (kite) from the rest of the group to enable the remaining folk to place the drops onto the altar
or the ones who needs to put them in altar , changes characters and reenters to escape the from the aggro thingy ?

I finished this HE with ease, whoever have the boss aggro have to move away of the area then it's possible to add the items in the braziers, the real problem came when we killed him because we didn't receive any reward, not even normal or greater success.
