Has anyone else encountered a significant decrease in RP drop rates since the last patch? I've got a spreadsheet going right now and so far there has been a massive difference. Others in our guild have also noticed it. For some reason we got more RP spamming the CTA event than in regular pve.
Yesterday I got 2 peridots in 3 dungeon runs whereas in previous times it would be upwards of 10-15.
If it's true it means that cryptic is more in favor of botting by decreasing the rewards for playing endgame content while keeping the botting mechanics mostly untouched. Making endgame less rewarding is surely the way to go.
Ah, so maybe I wasn't imagining it then- my Dragon's Horde enchants seemed distinctly stingy yesterday (until the servers crapped out and I had to stop playing).
Its the RNG, it is really streaky, and they should really look into it. I can get salvage bags and RP items seemingly every other pull, then go an entire Dread Ring daily run without seeing one (and I'm casual, so I watch for them and need them).
Case in point: Ever hit a skill node and break a kit? When you do, take a mental note of how many times you break multiple kits on a node versus no breaks at all. Seems to me I almost never break just 1, its always 2-4 or none.
I think the RNG they use gets stuck in some cases, and really needs to be looked at.
Profitable like for example, yesterday my dragon hard enchants gave me 3 flawless sapphires in a row (in less than 2 minutes).
But profitable series are a lot less memorable than unprofitable ones, that's the way the human mind works ...
And I do agree their random generator feels a bit strange.
No, profitable like massive streaks of mounts/artifacts from lockboxes. If you're logged in at the right time, you can see the spam. Taking advantage of it requires a lot of capital, and nerves of steel.

Go to Vegas and play roulette even tho the percentages drop each time it rolls black the sixth time its like 1.3% chance but its still the same 50% each time (unless there is 0 or 00) and I've seen it hit the same color like 10times in a row on that final time its .074% but it still happens, it doesn't seem likely but random is random sometimes. And yes i have had many kits only break 1 time and i think the most i had break at once was 8 in a row.
They used to... like 3 weeks ago. Its how I leveled up my artifact weapon to epic. Used those instead of minor resonance stones because they did crit once in a while.

A few weeks ago was double RP weekend so maybe that was making you think they were critting but the others are correct , peridots and other RP gems have never been able to crit.
The only times I get enchantments above R3 is when my fey thingy procs. I haven't dropped a R4 without it in months. Drop rate has been getting worse every month. I wouldn't be surprised one bit if this is yet another doubtful attempt to stall the bots. At the cost of the players who actually work for their gear of course.
It wouldn't be an issue if dungeon chests started to drop flawless sapphires and black opals (with more than symbolic rates). Unfortunately it's not the case, and instead we're being pushed towards bot behaviour ourselves to farm mind-numbling "mobs farm" foundries.
Dungeons and skirmishes are the only non bottable content and yet they're still giving mostly rAD and enchantment RPs when it's the last thing we need.
On a more serious note, remember you need to make the killing blow to get the drop. Personally, I do not think anything has changed I am still seeing drops at about same rate /shrug.

Well, that's certainly true, and has been shown in many cases- sometimes profitably, too (which makes it slightly more shocking that it's unfixed).
