Good starting build for doing dailies? Thanks all!

I've looked around on the forums here for a nice PvE/solo build so I can start doing dailies on but most seem to be quite old and more group or pvp oriented. Can anybody here help me out with a nice starting solo build? I'll not be doing pvp or group pve at all for a little while so I'm only concerned with clearing dailies as quickly as possible. I'll be grabbing myself a set of draconic for the glyphs, I'm guessing that would be my best solo pve set? Red and green glyphs seems like a really nice choice here. Anyhow, any direction to a post I might have missed or any suggestions would be most welcome! Thanks :D

You don't really need Glyphs to do dailies. You need survivability. I know you said you won't be doing group activities but you should really do dungeons. The Draconic set as a whole isn't good and no TR is using it. If you do dungeons you could fetch a free armor set, and you won't need to feed your armor with consumables. The T1 set I suggest is Shadewalker, The T2 Set I suggest is Swashbuckling Captain. Both sets greatly boost your stat when you're in combat.

Anyway, if you insist on getting Draconic and not doing dungeons, get just the helmet and the arms, and fill the rest with blue equipment or T1/T2/PvP sets when you start doing those activities. Again, it's just a waste to buy the main and boots because you won't be using them for long. As for the glyphs, you can't go wrong with Red, but again, it isn't really necessary, it's just a bonus.

What you need to do to be able to do dailies like Ghost Stories without dying is set up the proper powers. Even if you reach 15k gear score with a vorpal enchantment you probably won't be able to just rush into groups of monsters without thinking ahead.

So what are your options? Well, TRs are squishy, so you need to make sure your enemies don't touch you while you touch them. So how do you do that?

    1. Stealth approach - Slot Shadow Strike and Bait and Switch. With those two powers you can remain in stealth for a long time and pick your opponents one by one.
    2. Combat approach - Slot smoke bomb and impossible to catch. You will have about 8 seconds of taking very little damage. This is usually enough to take out groups or at least take out enough so you won't be ganged.

    Thanks for the reply Yoadoad!

I had wanted the draconic for really no other reason than I have it on my GF(and it is decent on them) it looks pretty decent as well and I couldn't find much discussion on it here in the TR forums(I guess I know why now haha) so I made the assumption that it was also decent and maybe not bad looking as well for TRs. I guess I also didn't mind if I wasted a bit of AD if it happened to be even mildly better(with glyphs, which are VERY cheap) for strictly solo play. I do want to do instances but currently I have literally zero time(6day/12ishhour work weeks + when I can play then I'm already playing my GF) but wanted to at least get my TR started etc.

I Really appreciate you taking the time to write that up, I'll take a look at the T1/2 sets etc. It's certainly the smarter approach if I'd be banking the draconic in short order. I think I'd enjoy the combat approaches best. I always envision my rogues to be more tricksy with gadgets(smoke bomb etc) and sleight of hand type fighting than outright invis/stealth type fellows. Thanks!

PS When I DID get some more free time and decided to start grouping etc I had imagined the 10% bonus to CA would be tasty as well. I guess it's just not enough of a boost for party members to make it worth it?

For me, TR is the fastest and easiest to level in PvE (and I have done all classes to level 60).

To simplify, I would keep dazing strike and lashing blade as two steady encounter powers - since you get them early, it is easy. :)

To me, these two encounter spells (along with use of stealth) go a long way to completing dailies . . .
