Profound Thaumaturge Armor set provides no Power?

Although I'm mainly a PvEr, I do PvP for rAD and empty artifacts. And the more I do PvP, the more I realize that I really need some serious PvP equipments to increase my victory rate otherwise I'm wasting my time often.

I didn't pay much attention to Profound Thaumaturge Armor set's states, and recently I'm planing to get these equipments. But after checking it closely, I found it provides no Power. How could that be? Power is supposed to be an important state because it's your main source of dps.

Anyone wears this set? How do you deal with the issue of it lacks Power?

    Hello again,

Whenever i go to pick up my newest piece of profound renegade armor, i am always sigh when i see thaums + to this nd + to that haha...
Thaum has + max hp and some other nice stuff, thats the reason you dont have power, if you had power on top of everything else you have there would be no reason for any of the other sets.

I can understand that it provides Max HP so it doesn't provide Power. But it not only doesn't provide Power, but also doesn't provide Recovery. Even if you don't care about Recovery in pvp, at least you need to get it to 1000, right? I'm curious. How can its wearers manage to get at least 4000 Power and 1000 Recovery.

    With Artifacts, jewlery and enchants.

    It will be an investment.

Armor Penetration, Hit Points and Critical Strike are the stats that rule PvP. Throw in a healthy dose of Regen, and you're cranking.

Gearing for PvP is very, very different from PvE. The Black Ice set is a healthy compromise. Not as good as the Profound set for pure PvP, but much better for PvE...although not as good as High Vizier. If you're looking for one set to do it all in, that's Black Ice.

I would disagree to this statement with Mod4. Your goal is about 4k power which is a roughly 24% damage boost to the pure encounterdamage. But think of Assailant, Stormspell and Elemental empowerment ... they are based on weapon damage and provide a good Damage potential ...
