Which artifact weapon and belt would you use in pvp?

For artifact weapon, the only useful one, as far as I can see, is Gelid Eye of the Golden Dragon, which helps your Ray of Frost freezes its target faster.

As for artifact belt, imo, only two are qualified candidates. They are Owlbear Leather Belt of Intelligence and Plated Band of Constitution. The former is for increasing dps and the latter is for more survivability.

Which one would be your choice in pvp?

The Owlbear belt of Intelligence. The Con belt will only net you approximately 1800 HP. Which as an Endgame geared CW will only take me to 49k with pots on. The added 4% Bonus damage grants a greater return, and will do so when Storm Spell gets adjusted to appropriate levels.

At legendary quality, the con belt gives you 3000+ HP.

Honestly, I think 4% crit outweighs 4% damage.

Do you mean the charisma belt is better for you? But +4% damage boost up overall dps, while +4% crit chance only applies to crit damage. Besides, higher damage means higher crit damage.

the 4% increases crit chance, you say higher damage = higher crit, but if you dont have the chance to crit then... Sure if your using eye of the storm and already have a high crit chance, but say for MoF it might be better to get teh CHA belt

I see. It's reasonable that MoF wants to increase critical chance. Btw, from what I have heard, even some of Spellstorm Mages have given up EotS completely.

Edit because i went off topic a bit. Belt of Cha and personally magic missle artifact weapon, as i like magic missles...
    lol
I am currently spellstorm, i don't use EoTS unless i am actually trying to have you know like burst, say in pvp or whatever...
I am going to be moving back to MoF when can get the funds to purchase a race reroll, bas initial stat choices and i want higher Charisma for the crit/combat adv damage bonus, then i will probably go renegade MoF

Ah, I forgot that the belt actually gives you +Hp as a stat as well. My apologies, I would still take the 4% Damage over that.

You want the con belt for pvp because pvp is about standing in a circle longer than the other guy.

Id go CON, Im a firm believer for pure PVP character you want max CON on any character. If you're not a pure PVP build, or you are pure PVE Id go with damage.

I'm thinking the same thing that the constitution belt is better for pvp.

Although I think it's a pity that wizard's utility powers such as Displacement, Blur, Stonskin, ... etc weren't introduced so that we spellcasters have to stack HP like melee classes do, we have no other choice. Darn, could we experience wizard's true gameplay style someday?

Really really hard to say whether to go with con or int belt.

In a few patches, we don't know whether CW will be relegated into DPS support in which case taking the int belt will be the way to go. (when all the crying will rid CW of their CC and make them punching bags again)

However, CON in PVP is always a premium. I also like the other stats on the con belt better (no recovery).

    Wis... A few points...
1-They're dirt cheap compared to the others.
2-They increase 4 different things with a direct % rather than just a few thousand more HPs or just 2 stats.

The wisdom belt will definitely be in my waist slot when I'm doing PvE epic dungeons because my PvE build focuses on crowd control instead of AOE dps.

Yet I'm not sure whether +4% Control Bonus, +4% Control Resistance, +4% Recharge Speed, and +4% AP gain is useful in PvP or not.

Personally I had changed my mind about artifact weapon. I think the one related to Magic Missile might be better because it provides Armor Penetration instead of Deflection. The state is the reason. I don't actually use Magic Missile though.

I guess the lose of a bit faster freezing won't be a big deal. Feel free to correct me if my idea is bad.
