to be honest this is ridiculous. why would they do this. i had to take an extended leave because i was getting married and getting things in order. I come back from having good gear to almost worthless gear and i cant even switch up which was an option given to other players.
Its like your giving your old players who spent money on this game no reason to continue playing. This is very demoralizing to say the least... now im not sure what to do. I have never been a player that grinds i just buy my stuff from the market and pvp because i dont have time to (especially now). Now no time to grind for gear, no guild because i have been gone from the game for 6 months, 90% of the people that would help me stopped playing, and even though i want to play perfect world basically tell me to go screw myself. I feel like an unwanted child or a child that i suspect was told by his parents he was a mistake.

Ya it was a few weeks ago, I think at the start of mod 4 actually.
and yes.. I disagree with the move, its already hard for new players to gear up, this was a perfect way for them to at least have something semi decent to start pvp with.
while I know it wont help ppl like the OP who have probably already bought the PVE GG gear with their coins, i feel i should point out that if farming GG o get pvp gear is your goal, Grim Coins can still be traded for Glory
I had no idea that was a temporary trade option. That's bad news considering I had extra pieces of unbound Skulker gear from DKs that were bound to me by the PvP patch. I didn't get around to trading those in so now they're only salvage.
They really need to work on making sure it's clear when methods of getting items and gear are going to be removed or changed.

Well, that's the problem with this game, they add and add content like crazy, and they also try to balance the classes etc... but they don't do this correctly and the builds last less than 3-4 months... just look at your class, HR's has been drastically modified from MoD 2->3, and from MoD 3->4.
I have not put a penny in this game for months, just wait patiently to get it fixed once and for all.
Free to play... is the lure like spectacular lighting and placards offering free food and drinks (conditions apply) at a Vegas casino. Yes feel frre to walk in and browse. A game and a years subscription to a MMO would be around $220 USD. I rekon tghat is peaniuts to what some must spend in this "Free to Play" game
The fact that it was a way to get gear for a period of time, and then removed is chintzy. With the large amount of content added since last June, new characters, including alts, have little to no way to "catch up" let alone participate in a meaningful way in PvP. This is why many other games with PvP gear centric systems have added methods for players to gear up so they can play and be somewhat competitive. Of course NW is not PvP centric but imagine if a little extra effort was put into it. It's not like there aren't many PvP games alive and dead to learn from. Players selling Gauntyl gear were doing it to make AD which is part of the game's monestization scheme. Now there's no real reason for anyone to do that is there?
In the long run, why buy the Scourge Warlock thinking it might be fun to PvP with them? It won't be in that T1 junk that's for sure.

I think they realized their mistake in making tier 2 epics so easy to obtain for anyone who knows how to play the game. I never had to touch any mob or damage any player or spend 1 AD or 1 zen or $1 and still be able to get tier 2 epic gear?

You could buy the GG gear on auction house and trade it to Grim. Now that this is gone, I seriously doubt anyone will PvP with an alt ever again.
The PvP is severly broken and this makes it worse. The should scale sets up and have intro set much lower.

They removed it because.....
