I can't for the life of me find a friendly NPC/Guard encounter that uses a 2handed weapon, who will follow the player and assist him in battle. All the soldiers wield shields and the skirmishers wield daggers???? Are there any GWF friendlies?
I've just participated in a Foundry Quest called Eternal Moors and there's a Human NPC wielding a 2hander who's friendly and fights enemies that approach. Not sure if he follows the player, I can't recall, but he was definitely friendly and fought using a 2h.
I don't know of any such. The Adventurer friendlies of the "fighter" type are all GFs. I think the only other friendlies are guards. I've never heard of a 2-handed friendly encounter, so riddle me perplexed.
Haven't seen such an encounter either and miss it dearly as well. In general I believe Cryptic should allow us to decide whether we want an encounter as friendly or hostile.

That could make for much more dynamic play interactions, & allies with a variety of powers. I don't really mind re-skinning guards and adventurers, but it would be cool if a friendly encounter of a particular known type could actually use the attacks they are known for.
Wondering if the faction is rly hardcoded and would need some kind of overhaul or if its just an unwill from devs/QA side. Definitelly an enmy/friendly/neutral switch would make things not only way easier but as well more usable. In that case NPCs and encounters could be simply merged to one category with "hit-able items" (dummy, phylactery...) included. On top of it their faction could be dynamically switched when triggered.
Anyway, besides adventurers and guards there are no friendly encounters.

"Hardcore" exploration journey and dungeon crawl. Read its description prior to trying it.

Oh, that would be so awesome! Much smoother and easier than juggling around "appear when" and "disappear when" commands and using up twice as many actors for the same thing, and ignoring the fact that your new allies have completely forgotten all their abilities & learned a whole new batch. Or that the friendly guards who you just p!$$#) *%% have suddenly decided to betray their friends and family, giving up their lives to declare themselves "For the Nashers!" (Although with the right plot that could be cool--undercover Nashers infiltrating the city guard....)
I want leaping lizardfolk hunters as allies in one of my quests.
