Armor Slots...?

So I've been on and off the game for a bit so i haven't been up to date with all that's going on and so forth so my query is this:

I'm on the gateway doing my profession tasks and i go to my character sheet and I'm seeing three slots on my armour, 2 on my arms and 2 on my feet yet when I hover I only see the regular amount ie: Armour shows two on hover and the arms and feet only show 1. What's going on there???

    SOmeone said somewhere that they mark the reinforcement slots where the reinforcement kits go.

    Crafted reinforcement kits, which would be very familiar to WoW players. Single use, applies a specific stat increase. May be overwritten. Available in different qualities, and offering different stats. Have a look on the AH to see what's out there.

    A purple kit would give you (for example) 100 crit, vs 185 for a rank 7 enchant. So not earth shattering, but the ability to uses four helps you round out your stats a bit.

    If you want to craft them yourself, the wiki lists what profession and what level you need to craft them.

    I don't know why they made the extra slot for reinforcement so we cannot see it ,when it was visible not only did it look better it was also easier to see what upgrade you have at a glance.

    They are visible only on the gateway and, yes, they are the slots for the reinforcement kits.
