Thinking of resetting build to Puppets

I am currently playing Fury and am quite enjoying it, but I am really tempted to also go Puppet. There are only some questions:

Once I am with puppets it says that in high levels the puppets don't disappear and that every 15 secs a new one spawns. That sounds awful (negatively awful) because imagine being in a group and you have like 20 puppets around, would drive everybody insane.

Also,if I go with puppets will I be a real lot weaker and not be able to stand on my own at all? I am thinking maybe hybrid, go with feats for puppets but otherwise still play kind of 'fury' style, since my expensive armor now is actually for fury rather than puppet.

The retrainint token costs quite a bit too and I don't know what to do, retrain and maybe I will not like it then I have to retrain again.

Also I wish there were some builds around. The explanations of everything are so long winded and I can't really work out most of the time what they are talking about. I rather see somebody else's build and then make up my own mind what of it I want to adopt.
You only have three Encounter slots and since one is that beam which I think is the strongest (but incredibly clumsy - wish I did not need to use it) and then you only have two left for a bunch of basically the same stuff.

I am confused...as you can see lol

The damnation tree is pretty awesome imho. I leveled with it and only recently changed to try the temptation build DPS/Heals.

I used Pillar of fire, Dreadtheft, and Fiery Bolt. I never had problems with DPS. I am already thinking of going back to it.

Your puppet is not respawned from capstone feat every hit, it's just a mechanic to make it stronger on successive attacks. You keep the same one until you die or soulforge. Unfortunately the draw back is your puppet gets locked out of a lot of boss fights due to teleporter not working and won't join you.

If you're using Diabolist set it's still great with Damnation spec.

If you want to respec feats only you don't need a respec token. Go to feats page and click respec feats only. Costs around 78k AD IIRC and you also get to swap boons around too.

Damnation is a great levelling build and at endgame is pretty solid. It won't have the same DPS as Fury against Bosses and other large targets where you can get Creeping Death stacked high but in general play they aren't that far apart. And it's a little tankier if specced right.

I played Fury on Preview and it was a real blast. I'm levelling a Damnation 'lock on live but undecided which tree I'll go at 60. Depends what you enjoy doing and whether you plan to PvP really.
