Is Curse "Shared"?

This may seem like a rather elementary post, considering I've leveled 2 'locks to 60, but nevertheless here it is. Is the SW tab Curse shared with other SW's, or does it only affect the caster?

Reason I ask: I duo with a buddy on a couple of locks (he's a full Damnation, I went Temptation for a Healock build.) I can see his Curse on targets (it's a faded version of my own.) I also noticed that I can apparently cancel and over-write his Curse. The question is pertinent because first off, we don't want to cancel each others' Curses, and secondly, we'd be far better served by "marking" an alternate target with a Curse rather than "doubling down" on the same target(s).

So is there are definitive answer on this?

I'm pretty certain that curse only increases damage recieved from YOU. However I haven't checked if it is a resistance debuff in how the damage is increased in which case it would be for everyone. If it is for everyone then most likely it will not stack.

It only affects the warlock that cast it, resistance debuff or damage buff either way.

That may likely be the case, and would make sense. However, it appears other Warlocks can either cancel or overwrite another SW's Curse, which makes having two 'locks in a group a bit of a problem without real good communication so that buffs/debuffs don't get prematurely cancelled or overwritten by another player. Would really like some clarification on this mechanic if possible.

Well seeing as it's meant to only be a damage increase for you one curse removing another locks curse would mean that the original warlock with his curse wouldn't hit more damage on the person. Fastest way to test it would be to find another lock, have him hit the target with his at-will when it has his curse on, then use your curse let him use his at-will again and see if the damage is any different.

You don't overwrite anyones curse. If you notice any warlock that puts a curse puts a standard no frills icon over the targets head. When you apply your curse the icon actually has purple-ish flames around it. No curse overwrites the other, as I often stack three curses with normal curse, the damage curse and warlock's bargain curse.
