Knight's Valor

Please don't nerf me. I love being able to stand at one point in PVP and both absorb and reflect damage to another, especially in the beige pvp zone where I can reflect to all three points from home base. I love going to Ice Wind Pass and randomly grouping people, I give them Knights Valor, and when I leave the party, they get to keep my buff, actively working, until they leave the zone as a reminder of my generosity and love.

I love Knights Valor so much. It's totally my second skin, and I don't ever want to take it off. This is the greatest fix to Guardian Fighters since I started this game in the first of the open beta weekends. But seriously, Unlimited range, and not falling off when I leave party is something players have a right to complain about. Just don't overly nerf me! Don't you dare!

    We had a GF using Knights Valor and it was shooting from node 3 over to node 2 and was doing damage! Yes, it was hurting us the opposing team like some X wing fighter pulse cannon!

    I call it my machine gun/gattling gun mode. I exclusively play GF and have been since week 1 of launch, though I currently play my second GF.

    combined with the dragon glyphs, I capped out on page 2 of the Leadersboards since the reset and currently hover between page 4 and 5 each day since I peaked.

    I know I`m being unreasonable here, but how about ... now bare with me, this will shock you..... we fix guardian fighter ability to actually guard ? And than we start working on the rest

    What makes this even more broken, is that in PvP a GF can stand on node 2, and absorb so much damage, while dealing ****loads of damage to anyone attacking his team, ESPECIALLY with the new dragon glyphs.

    Oh why did they ruin PvP with the dragon glyphs cannot be explained. Maybe its the 500k ad you have to spend every 2 hours to be competitive? or is it something else...

    With the recent adjustment to Knight's Valor, I am both grateful and dismayed.

    The limited range is spectacular, far enough to protect my group, requiring line of sight to ensure cooperative play, but giving Knight's Valor to EVERYONE in line of sight is concerning.

    This glowing blue is offensive. It shuts down matches in gauntlgrym and domination when combined with supremacy of steel. Oh, and I've lowered my graphics to the absolute minimum settings and turned off all floating numbers. This barely helps in dungeons against trash packs and boss fights with lots of adds, and it's improvement is negligible in domination--downright useless in gg.

    Additionally, I forget what my character looks like. I've invested in several packs of Nightmare Dye and Bottles of Black Dye to get the visual look I want for my Thayan Bodyguard 3rd edition prestige class, but I can't even see all the tourlamane bars or zen I've spent when my toon glows from head to toe, surrounded by barkshield.

    A visual display of knight's valor is nice, sure. BUT THIS IS RUINING PLAYER EXPERIENCES. I look forward to a visual adjustment in how Knight's Valor buffs players, sooner, rather than later.

    Whatever else you think about KV, the fact that it reduces fights to a series of picture postcards in GG is a problem, and needs fixed.

    I don t think a tank should tank like that... lets be honest a tank should be in the first line and it should be a controller, he shouldn t just stay there and relax with his KV...

    No need to nerf GF Knight' Valor.
    Nerf Dragon Dragonglyph.

    Also, make different versions of the powers in PVP, so people who live with PVP don't destroy PVE with their compains.

    I can write a similar ironic/sarcastic post about Hunter Ranger dots and piercing damage....

    PVP destroyes the classes in PVE.

    I would prefer this game not having PVP and a true D&D PVE experience...since this game has a fake D&D brand.

    1) They must get rid of the ridiculous +%DR it give. That was a dumb addition.
    2) KV resulting in freezes isn't a fail of KV. It's a fail of the game itself.
    3) They need to change the upgrades of KV to intercepting more of the damaga an ally take, not to benefit the GF itself to intercept the damage. Mean: 40% intercepted Damage of ally at R1, 45% on R2 and 50% on R3. The protector feat give +5% DR for KV active and double the benefit for the additional ranks(so a protector interecpt 60% of the ally's received damage). Then it would make sense. Not the current mindafk +20% DR KV.

    Nerf the visuals for KV, yesterday in Gauntlgrym it seemed like one of those big "aggressive" pvp guilds on the Luskan side was purposely exploiting this to cause massive lag with multiple GFs all from this guild after they capped enough points to shut the whole game down. Very sportsmanlike. I don't mind the damage from KV as long as its not glyphed, just the glyphs and KV visuals need the nerf.

    This. The glyphs are in issue in PvP not so much the abilities. I also agree about spells having a PvE and PvP version so that PvP doesn't destroy the PvE side....which it always does in any MMO. But I know it's never going to happen, maybe someday a developer will smarten up.

    I dont think this is honestly necessary TBH. People keep suggesting these types of things but its not the issue. The issue is developers DONT LISTEN TO PLAYERS when the players give amazing suggestions about how to fix and balance classes.

    In ALLLLLL of the GF feedback thread, not ONCE was this knights valor ability asked for.

    Also, Glyphs are one of the MAJOR reasons the build even exists.... Without glyphs the build loses alot of its power. I have made post after post about, also, how to fix this ability for BOTH PVE and PVP yet nothing happens.


    The problem isnt the PVE/PVP difference its that you have DEVs who have NO CLUE when they push out new content (because it hasnt been tested) and they dont listen to players and then it either messes up PVP or PVE.

    The GF thread had about 117 pages before the changes .Not ONCE did the dozen GF players asked for KV boost.I say it again.In 117 pages and probably 20-30 Gfs that posted none asked for KV boost.Yet the devs did it.And now we have a ridicoulous build runing around holding block and going in circles in mid ,while everyone that touches this build toon dies.

    What the players asked for?
    reasonable DPS for conqs.Done.No problem whatsoever.
    More protection for protector tree.Done.No problems.
    More utility for tactician.Done.No problem at all from the non GF players.

    the iron maiden build was well known long time ago the changes.None used this seriously in pvp cause it was largely ineffective.
    The devs decision to boost KV and to add the glyphs made a derelict obsolete build,dominion champions in a week.
