Just buy them all their only 2 gold each that way you can use which ever one you want, the best thing about companions is their active bonus, make sure you have as many active as possible to get all the bonuses.

I think he was talking about the zen store, if that is the case i would actually suggest not buying it from the zen store, isntead buy zen, sell it for AD, then buy a different companion, maybe the angel of protection or lillend, if you have to buy one from teh zen store the new shaman companion looks nice

The healer for gold that you can choose for free with the intro to companiosn quest, will give 300 regeneration if lvled to epic. That can be very nice on a low damage output class like cleric.

Except it costs an arm and a leg and a shoulder to level said Companion to Epic.

Thanks for this thread though - I thought that you only got the Companion bonus of the one that was standing by your side, not ALL of them that are Active Companions.

That companion isn't available anymore. It got pulled for the new super annoying male healer, who is far less effective.

Yes the basic companions cost an arma and a leg to be leveled up, but do the one in the Zen cash shop cost the same to level up?
Do I have to spend 300,000 to level them up too from 15 level on?
    Thanks

You pay to upgrade the quality, if they're blue you have to pay to upgrade it to purple if you wish (many don't). They're free to level up.

Oh well from the cash shop i see ops my bad, I'll tell you what companion i been liking is the one you get from the warlocks pack, 5% crit severity and it does some pretty nice damage plus its available on every char and future char so its a better deal the more chars you have. I also like the Galeb Dhur he is always a nice tank plus the added damage at reduced health is great for my GWF. Plus the Owl is on sale or maybe it already eneded, he does some nice damage and the reduced threat is great for my HR. Honorable mentions, dps Wild Hunt Raider, Tomb Spider, and defesive Blacksmith. Kinda depends on the role of your char but imho the best things about pets are the active bonuses and what their base stats are and what rune slots i use Eldritch in defense and Bonding in offense to get the most stats possible out of them.

Oh really? The new one does not have regen as a stat?

I can't agree here. At $20/million AD the "pay $ for Zen amd trade for AD" conversion route just doesn't make sense unless you simply don't care how much you are paying Cryptic for AD. Before you do that, take a long look at prices on the AH, convert that to dollars, and decide if it's really worth the money.

Pst, the other epic companions are $25 so currently they're cheaper than any other epic if that's what you want.

Honestly I have no idea what his stats are. I just know the old cleric is gone. Considering it's not just a simple reskin, but also a change in powers. I'd assume the active bonus would also be different.

    Hi :)

My walking boulder was worth every Zen, I just don't advocate spending $20/million AD :)

Does Astral Deva companion heal the character or only the companions?

Sign up for a month of IGN Premium, and you will get a code for a Green Healer Companion called the Faithful Initiate. She is a Tiefling (and am pretty sure she is the only Tiefling Companion). Subscribtion costs $6.99. Just make sure you cancel immediately, I didn't and ended up getting billed for an extra month...

Pretty sure the new one is regen as well (confirmed in wiki). I was also able to buy the Apprentice Healer despite already having the Cleric. I've not equiped him yet to see whether I could have two active companions with a regen bonus.

You should able too, if it allows you to bind both of them at the same time. Sick 2 +300 regen bonuses

I like my Faithful Initiate companion (the first one I got). Although she could be a bit thick at times she did serve me well.

I've played with most of the healing companions available and I quite like the Acolyte of Kelemvor as a "healer". Although she doesn't directly heal you, she does boost life steal and defence. This suited me well since my main is a GF.

The Fawn works decently when boosted with regen and power gear and also has an adorable run animation, possibly my favourite animation in the whole game.

The Lillend was a good healer, but that music was very irritating.

It's been hard to gauge how effective the Angel of Protection has been since my GF is already pretty strong, but I did notice the incoming heals - a straight up 6% might be the single largest companion heal aside from the Priestess of Sune in the promotion at the moment. Plus she's very shiny.
    My Foundry Quests:

The Silver Sword - NW-DEIPWYISA - Daily Qualified
A Relaxing Stay - NW-DEEYNZYZ9 - Daily Qualified but going to be updated

Lillend is currently bugged half the time when a) you are a ranged class and b) being in a party.
