Suggestion: Delete the Winter Festival Items now

Instead of making the Winter Festival items go poof just before it starts, like what was done with the summer festival items, delete them now. Since some are "cannot sell cannot delete", the users cannot do it. Allowing them to remain in inventory for almost a year gave the impression that we would be able to use left over mats, currency and profession asset.

To avoid this in the future, any items that will not be able to be used when the event returns, should be deleted as soon as the event vendor is removed from the game.

Even though I posted you shouldnt devs. If you do it, do it now. Otherwise what this guy says. Id advise just ninja nerf it, dont even put in patch notes. People that read or dont read the forums will be none the wiser.

I don't see why the coins and profession items should be deleted at all, instead of being reused the following year. There are many casual players that just don't have the time to grind for everything they want....so why not allow them to get half the way to the mounts (or whatever they want) one year and finish it next year?

Deleting the items just irritates people and serves no good purpose whatsoever.
    Hoping for improvements...

It's like the game is being run by ad executives instead of knowledgeable gaming people .... oh, wait :/

Edit: forgot to mention that I agree with the OP. These ninja changes to peoples items and inventories feels invasive to players, especially when there is little or no communication about it, and especially when the timing is so poor.

Edit 2: Hmm, looks like some of my old summer stuff is still around. I'll have to check the rest.

If true this is going to go over real well with the people I've made 6 figures AD selling summer stuff to over the past week. However I checked via the gateway and all my remaining summer stuff Iis still there.

I have too. But it was all stuff crafted during last years event, not the materials. I was just selling off random Crepese, Heros Altars I had sitting on characters. FIgured Id dump it, to fill it back up again.

Ill have to take a closer look what was removed. Im not even sure if its the stuff like Ceprese (which I highly doubt is what is being deleted). Or the crafting materials, thatd kinda suck, or stuff sitting in the riches tab, thatd suck even more for me for the winter event.

    Agree.

I wouldn't have minded if this stuff was removed shortly after the event, but several months shuffling this junk around on multiple characters, trying to keep some order with all the other junk, it would be an annoyance for it to be removed now.

My inventory is full of unremovable stuff from CTA and Modules.
Deleting the Winter, etc. stuff now would be helpful!

No. They shouldn't delete that stuff at all. It's disgusting that they are and it's also a new thing and dumb - I still had my Lliira's Favor from the first time when the second Lliira's come around, we all still should have had our fireblossom stuff, I'd **** well still better have my Simril stuff when winter comes around again.

And my masquerade tokens. I didn't quite get enough for anything because I became homeless in the middle of the event. I wasn't that irked because oh well Halloween is every year, I won't be homeless this year, but if they delete it, that's going to be annoying as hell.

Well I hope they don't mess around with the mechanical parts I collected - I'd like to finish that next time it comes up.

IF they're going to delete stuff anyway, and that's policy, I'd rather they get it over with.
Bad to surprise people at each event with the loss of their collections... (which took dozens of
    hours to get. sigh)
