Unfortunately there are no considerations of that type. Ya got ice golems shivering in icy terrain, and flame strikers crying over a little old flame. Undead don't care if your weapon is blunt, edged, flaming, or holy. Extra-planar critters are hit with non-enchanted weapons. It's all just visuals.
And it's hours past my bedtime, I ramble.

...or terrain/height advantages, or spell type resistances, or... <insert entire D&D Players Handbook here> ...it's Champions Online w/o flying and w/fantasy skins and names.
Are the dragons immune to their damage types i.e. white/frost, blue/lightning, green/poison, red/fire? anyone know?
There are no specific damage type resistances in NW (except for Black Ice), that makes also somewhat sense as classes are locked in pre-defined power sets and can't change damage type easily. I'm not sure if this is a 4e perk or just NW is designed this way.
In 3.5e a mage had usually access to all magic schools, and a warrior had access to multiple weapons, thus damage type could be varied, and there were various types of damage and damage reductions (both for physical and elemental/magic damage types).

Hahaha.. Yup (Although I had a lot of fun in Champions for two years. I'll never understand why they gave up on it and let it sink. They could have <and possibly still could, if they wanted..> kept that game going strong indefinitely.)

I highly recommend everyone here plays Neverwinter Nights 2. That game plays a LOT like Neverwinter except its a single player RPG and it uses true 3.5 D&D rules.
Character customization in that game is insane. I wish we could get all that (including prestige classes) into NW someday.

It's a NW thing. 4E does have damage type resistances, although it isn't automatically the case that something is immune just because it uses a given damage type, and resistance is more common than outright immunity.
