I was doing the dark black iced beholder of doom in Dwarven Valley when suddenly, his massive AOE crushed nearly 40k of my HP with my shield raised.
The basic damage of the aoe was correctly blocked and reduced by 80% as intended but not the black ice damages that hit me for 35k+. We can easily manage to dodge it like every others attacks though.
Is this working as intended ? Note that a such amount of damage taken while blocking filled more than 70% of my AP each time he did this special attack, i was spamming dailies like former M2 CWs.
Best regards,
Me

I think that too since it would make us, if i don't say HAMSTER, the only class able to mitigate BI damages without BI gears but this is imo a non-intented result since M4 that could make some GFs with few feats a beast in AP generation regardless HE, PvE and even PvP.
Also i may lack of informations about this, i wasn't playing at all during M3 i couldn't, i came back 2 weeks ago so i don't know how it behaved during M3 with previous block rules/mechanics.
