Is there actually any difference between the two? Because if not it is much cheaper for me to get it via the ZEN store....

the zen store is a different pack; the one you had to pay with cash for includes the race and other different items.

What exactly does the cash one have what zen store version doesn't?

Actually, double checking it, it seems to be the same thing. I simply assumed that there were different since that is how the HR pack was setup.

So basically, as far as anyone can tell they are absolutely identical except that the ZEN store oack works out (with extra ZEN purchase bonuses) to be noticeably cheaper than the pre-order?

I figured the price will go up to 10000 zen sometime today.

Yes. Also, you can buy it with exploited diamonds

You may be confusing the new Warlock Booster pack with the Dragonborn pack. :)

Good point - someone else mentioned that in-game chat.

But even if this is missing form the ZEN store pack, I think it still isn't enough to make me want to part with real life cash rather than using the ZEN I have (and can purchase with a bonus).

Unlikely as the price for the Dragonborn pack on Steam matches that price and is not marked as discounted.
Actually, buying the pack now in € from Steam costs less than the € price Cryptic wanted during the "sale".

And there appears to be quite a bit of outrage over it. Understandably, in my opinion.
